I haven't used Dazzle but I had a ton of trouble getting Easycap to work. I would go with the Dazzle if I were in your shoes, but then there are lots of other options you can use to record game footage like TV tuners or maybe an old DVD recorder if you have one.2012-06-23 12:45:00

I've actually had the opposite way of experiencing recording than Ayneh. I've never used Easycap before, but I did have Dazzle, (albeit an older version than the one right now, but I don't think there's too much of a difference besides being white with other minor changes) and it worked real well. Don't expect the highest quality though. I mean, the gameplay comes up great, but, at least for LBP1, the text from speech bubbles were tricky to read. Navigating through the menu was real easy for me, although I could never properly upload videos, even though I followed all kinds of instructions.

I only used the Dazzle for LBP1 though. Back then, pop-it pictures weren't as high quality as those in LBP2, you couldn't take full screen pictures like in LBP2, and it would come up differently if you took a picture in a level with weird lighting, so having a capture card was a huge advantage to typical LBP1 pictures. LBP2 pictures though have stepped up their game, but Dazzle still shows better quality than LBP2 pictures, even though it's all full screen ones. The reason I didn't use it for LBP2 is because my PS3 crashed a few days after getting the game.

Months and months after crashing, it finally started working again. Sadly though, it could only be shown via HDMI, no other kind of input, and the Dazzle can run on a number of inputs, except for HDMI. This isn't just a problem for the Dazzle though, I've heard that a lot of recorders can't handle HDMI, and even if they can, PS3 and HDMI are a deadly combination that only the more expensive equipment can deal with, and even with that you'd be gambling some on it working. (Although that's just what I've heard from researching, correct me if I'm wrong on that last part)
