Help with camera object[Solved]

Archive: 12 posts

I'm kinda new to LBP2 so this might be easier then I'm making it out to be.. Basically I'm wanting to make a cursor that is movable with a controlinator thing.. And i can get everything all set up but the only problem is that it wont stay on the camera.. Like if i hold left it'll take off and wont stay in camera view.

All i need is some way to keep an object in view of the camera

They do it in the story mode.. With the camel thing.. Thats actually exactly what I'm trying to emulate

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Oh by the way.. It needs to stay focused on the player.. So the whole movie camera on object thing wont work.. I want it to stay focused on the player and make the object not be able to go out of view of the camera

Start off by drawing an outline of the area you want the cursor to stay in.
-Use separate pieces of hologram, one piece covering the bottom, one covering the top, left, and right.
Place a Tag on each piece and make them each a different color(you can also name them).
Now do what is shown in the picture.
-Your left stick should be wired to the direction splitters(Up/Down goes in the top. Left/Right goes in the bottom)
40412
The only thing you will need to tweak is the impact sensors need to be set to require tag and inverted.
-(Top to Bottom) Up, Down, Right, Left.

If you don't understand something, or it doesn't work, I'll try to help tomorrow.

Okay Zero so your suggestion did work.. Partially.. I got it setup and it cant come out as long as someone is on the controllinator and moving it.. The problem is that its on a vehicle.. So all it takes is someone moving vehicle without moving the cursor for it to come out of the boundary..

Any suggestions?

Place the first chip on your cursor, with the old chip.
Place the second chip on your vehicle.
40414
-The tag sensors need to be set to Output:Signal Strength. The colors/names of the tags need to be the same as the tags on the next chip and in the same order. You might want to use Up, Down, Right, Left again but of a different color.
-The mover needs to be set to 100 speed and 0% deceleration.
40415
-The speed sensors need to be set to 100 and in one direction.(Top to Bottom) Up, Down, Right, Left
-Now just tweak the tags to be the same as the detectors on the other chip

Okay it doesnt seem to be working.. I might have done something wrong.. What do you mean tweak the tags to be on the same detectors on the other chip?

Also how will the tags on the vehicle work if the speed sensors are set to 100.. Unless i go over 100 speed?

The speed sensors will output a percentage that will be picked up by the tag sensors on the other chip, moving the cursor at the same speed as the vehicle(trust me, it works).

The tags need to be the same color and name as the tag sensors or they won't detect them. If you built yours like I did, then just name them from top to bottom-Up Down, Right, Left.
As long as they are a different color as your boundaries they will still work.

It doesnt seem to be doing anything what so ever.. Should i be messing with the radius of the tag sensors?
