well, Heres my story I am 13 and I own lbp,lbp2,and lbp psp and have made it to the cool pages and devoted more than 1000+ hrs to lbp combined...I also own a early bundle PS vita....so when I asked to get beta key I though it was a guarantee I would get in...I didnt, after fits of rage, I found out why( it is in the terms of use) you have to be over 18 to be in the beta. this goes for all betas too.2012-06-19 04:29:00

your age didn't help but that's not probably what stopped you getting on the Beta. those that got on the beta were randomly picked. you probably had a thousand to one shot anyway. it's all good though, we get the finished game this year!

all closed betas require you to be over 18. that's the only way they can legally make you agree to the NDA.2012-06-19 07:17:00

This might be one.
Another, is that it's ENTIRELY RANDOM. MM Picked creators were left out too. It was all done by syroc's pet gold-... Robot.
So, Chill dood. I didn't get in either. And there was no guarentee whatsoever you were getting in, so don't say that.

Same with me. I'm annoyed that I, with at least 52 hearts and 20 levels, didn't get it, while a different player, with 1 heart and 0 levels, got it. 2012-06-19 15:29:00

I think it would be worse if the amount of hearts you had determined whether you got the beta. Plus you have to remember its not like with the LBP2 beta this is on a new system so they cant give out beta keys to the best PS3 creators and hope they have a Vita. So that's why this one is randomly given out to people signed up.

plus, those with less experience are likely to do things more randomly and so find any of those little hidden problems2012-06-19 18:00:00

Doesn't matter anymore wether you got in or not, its gonna end soon anyway.
The picks were also completely random. (Why would they choose me if they weren't? ) So its not about your hearts or popularity.
Your age could've had something to do with it but only if your PSN account had an age set under 18.

I don't care for LBP™Vita because of its constantly delayed release date, thus not purchasing a Vita, but did users once again have a better chance if they were PlayStation?Plus users?2012-06-19 20:03:00

The constantly delayed release date that has never been officially announced?!? Yup, that's something you should hold against LBP Vita and the folks working hard on it.

Who says PlayStation?Plus members were ever given preference...you imply this by saying "once again" and there is no evidence of that. Anyway, not having plus didn't keep me from being selected.

Don't make stuff up...

To participate in closed betas you need to be 18+ or legally you can't agree to the NDA.

That's what the problem is. If you used your real age then that's what's stopped you.

At one point LittleBigPlanet 2 Beta codes were sent out to a number of PlayStation Plus members, if I remember correctly.

In December 2010 towards the end of a beta that was only still running because of the delay not really what you would class as preferential treatment. http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2010/12/07/the-first-of-many-december-treats-for-plus-members/

Plus hasn't had any effect on getting into the current beta. Plus doesn't really do much with the Vita at the moment I thing the only thing they have done so far is give subscribers a few extra pennies off some Vita sale items.

Ugh...

Not to be starting a flame war, but don't make stuff up.

From multiple sources it was claimed that LBP™Vita was to be released among other Vita games on a specific date in March in which it turned out not to be.

I also did not ever say that "PlayStation?Plus members were ever given preference," I merely asked a question.

Also, on a meta note and a bit of mini-modding, please try to avoid unnecessary quoting of the previous post.

That was a while after I believe. I guess there's still hope (if you're a PS Plus member), but not if you're under 18.

No problem...you might want to be a little more cognizant of your verbiage in the future then because that's not how I or anyone else should have interpreted what you actually wrote.

but did users once again have a better chance if they were PlayStation?Plus users?

The phrase "once again" implies that this has happened at least one time in the past, and it's stated as if it's a fact.

Should you have said "Would being a PlayStation@Plus member improve my chances of being selected?" my reply would have been different.
