question about the Move control scheme

Archive: 6 posts

I posted this in the general forum but got no response and I nerd to know the answer before I go the Gamestop. I'm plunging I to the Move arena but I'm not sure what controller and DLC/game to get. Do I just need the motion controller or go u need the navigation remote also?

Next, does the LBP SE include any additional levels you don't get with the Move DLC pack on the PS Store? I can get a used motion controller and camera for $54 and the SE edition is $36, or I can get the LBP Move bundle which has new motion and navigation controller and the SE game for $79, but if I dont need the navigation controller ill probably not get the bundle.

Thanks.

54+36=90 so you should take the bundle if you want move.
If you don't have a navigation controller, you just need a normal controller. A Nav is just the left half of a Dualshock. You use it to move the sackboy around. Move is used to grab stuff and use the movinator. The Nav is very light, so it feels better to hold it in one hand. I bought one, but since I don't use move a lot I guess it was a waste. You see, as I spent my LBP time in create mode where you need a Dualshock to build, I got tired of switching between Nav and Dualshock, and ended up playing with a Dualshock. When I have friends, they get to play with Nav.
So yeah, you need 1 move controller per player, one of either Nav or DualShock per player and a camera for the team.

If you don't spend 75% of your LBP time on the create moon, you should take the bundle. It comes with the Move pack and many other DLC packs which are worth it.

I think it's not considered as the same game, so if you had any LBP2 trophies, they won't transfer to LBP2-SE. Lame.

How do you hold the regular controller with 1 hand to move sackboy? That seems very cumbersome.2012-06-18 23:16:00

1 trophy list for all versions.

I found it's actually ok, ps3 controllers are pretty light XD

I don't find it too cumbersome, but I do prefer the nav remote. Also, by getting the move with the nav you have complete controller - you can save the regular controller for another player.
