Can't get images into posts for showcase thread!

Archive: 10 posts

I went to post a new level on the showcase but can't get images into post. I've never done this before on LBPC. I know how to post them from a site, but can't get them posted from computer. I'm wanting pics like those nice large ones I see in the showcase that have expand option above them.

I read in FAQ that once uploaded as attachments you click an arrow next to attachment icon to place them in your posts but there are no arrows anywhere and there is no attachment icon, only Manage Attachments.

What I tend to do is upload it to a site such as Imgur and then take the URL location of the link and put it between two [IMG] [*/IMG] Tags (Without the asterix)2012-06-16 16:21:00

I wanted to upload from computer so I don't have to deal with hosting site.

But as a last resort I tried what you're mentioning and it isn't working. There is no insert picture option like there use to be, so I clicked to add a link. Once link is added I remove the [URL] parts to replace with [img] parts but it always shows a link in preview no matter what. So now img wrap doesn't even work anymore. I used imageshack.

Please someone help me!

If use the current Image insertion button it will do tags rather than Image tags and will end up coming out like this: [ATTACH=CONFIG]40366

Whereas if I physically type out the tags then it comes out like this:
[IMG]http://i.imgur.com/3Dplh.png

and the URL is http://i.imgur.com/3Dplh.png

I did physically use img wrap. I tried everything. So I PMed someone this morning and they told me I should contact CC since imagesd worked fine in PM edit tools, but not in level showcase. This person went to level showcase and selected new thread just to see if she had same issue and apparently the insert image option and insert video options are there for her, but not for me. And image wrap wouldn't even work.

Thank you anyways for taking the time to try and help. ^^ Just waiting on response from CC. I even sent him a screenshot in the PM of my level showcase edit options.

Navigate to the image in your album or your attachments folder, right-click it and select properties or image info depending on your browser. Then copy the URL and paste it between a set of img tags.

Using a pic from your public album as an example:

http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=33675

The attachments system is pretty confusing on this site, it's easier just to do it yourself tbh.

Thank you Ayneh, but I still had same issue. I just went ahead and posted the showcase thread with the img wrapped url from album even though it still showed as link in preview, but strangely once posted the images actually showed. So it seems that it is simply post preview that is bugging.2012-06-17 22:22:00

Provided the link itself functions (e.g. links directly to an image), tags will always display an image link as an image, both in preview mode and when the thread is posted. If your [IMG] tags weren't displaying the image correctly, then you either a) provided a bad URL or b) had other code inside the [IMG] tag that caused the preview to misbehave (until it parsed the code out on submit).

As for the Insert Image button, you don't see this button in your editor?
