How long for a new patch..
Archive: 16 posts
How long will it friggin take for a patch, or at least a quick fix? because their responds to this.. is just absurd. Why havent they fixed it, even on their website all they say is "and also just mention that we have seen the reports of the profile/saving issues. We need to look into this issue to find out what the actual problem is. Until then if you don't notice the Sackboy saving symbol spinning around anymore when you are saving or if they are having other saving issues, try deleting items from your inventory and then try resaving." Are they.. uhm.. lets not day that out loud. its so easy to just say "delete!" but when you only have custom levels.. thats something I dont want to read.. sure, most people have a lot of community items they will never use, but (and Im sure im not the only one) I lost 6 weeks of work, and when trying to recreate the bug.. It got really scary. Ive posted something (being a little bit of a big whiner) on their page but also submitted the url of : https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=6844 so they might be able to get a full view of the problems. (http://www.mediamolecule.com/2008/12/31/happy-new-year-from-all-at-mm/#comments) http://www.mediamolecule.com/2008/12/31/happy-new-year-from-all-at-mm/#comments and since they do check out every post before allowing it on the website.. they must take it seriously. if more and more people are getting the bugs and such, and they dont fix it soon.. people might give up on lbp, and me doesnt want that :S I give them one more week, and after that they have to have a very good reason not being able to fix the bug. after that, Ill give up level editing, and become.. the 1000000th reviewer with supercape offcourse! and with my trusty companion.. MR BUG!! whuahahaha! Yes.. not being able to create levels is getting to me. Ive lost all my hair | 2009-01-06 10:29:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |

I really need it to create. They said "a few working days" before Christmas so it should be along any day now. | 2009-01-06 15:07:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
Give them a break >.> People have just gone back to work (Yesterday) in the UK, so they're probablyworking on it as we speak. | 2009-01-06 15:09:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
Its possible they are searching forums too, to make sure they get most of the issues fixed with one patch. | 2009-01-16 00:36:00 Author: atowntrash Posts: 13 |
Next week probably ... they did give a hint that it will be out soon. | 2009-01-16 00:38:00 Author: Senrir Posts: 126 |
Miglioshin posted that one thread with information from some French LBP website about a rumor that 1.08 would be coming out January 22nd. | 2009-01-16 02:41:00 Author: Unknown User |
I hope so, because each day is a day to much imho. | 2009-01-16 09:35:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
The answer to this profile memory problem is simple. Start by making a save backup. And, in general, frequently do Backup saves. Delete your older levels on your moon. The levels are obviously keep surely on the Mm servers and are not in the profile anymore (so --> free memory). If i need to do an update, i copy from the server to my moon. Thus, on my My moon, there is only my "in progress" or "in update" levels... If a problem in the servers? I take my backup saves with the last version of the levels. I have not any problem anymore! | 2009-01-16 10:42:00 Author: Takelow Posts: 1355 |
No, I wont delete my own levels from my moon, even if they are save on their server. period. I created them, they are mine and I just wont place them somewhere else but on my harddrive. Yes I do have them backed up on my pc, but still.. no i wont delete them. it goes against my principles when it comes to self created work. | 2009-01-16 12:11:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
I'm working on this awesome level ATM. If it's going to go up in flames during 1.07, then I may have to take it easy until it is fixed. | 2009-01-16 12:30:00 Author: neonrage0 Posts: 284 |
tl;dr Basically, last time they released the 1.06/1.07 updates pretty quickly. And they clearly didn't test them thoroughly enough. So I wouldn't be surprised if they've finished the update, but are testing it right now. They don't want a repeat of many more bugs occurring. | 2009-01-16 19:20:00 Author: ryryryan Posts: 3767 |
Give them a break, and please, dear god, stop making threads about the patch after the last one dies. | 2009-01-16 19:28:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
Well like I said on the other forum, the longer they work on the patch, the more mess they clean up, and the less I have to deal with. There's nothing wrong with being extra thorough, and I really don't mind waiting. I have plenty of other things to do to occupy my time until then. | 2009-01-17 00:57:00 Author: DarkDedede Posts: 672 |
