Periodic platforms

Archive: 15 posts

A fun little platformer for the weekend!
Grab the test tubes, flasks and beakers for bonus points. Use the LBN prize sticker to unlock race mode! Based on the structure of the periodic table....the ideal level to use to fool your parents your studying for exams rather than playing LBP!

Funny level The little Beaker is annoying though!

He is indeed! That's why folks take such sadistic delight in crushing, slapping, electrocuting him every chance they get!

I loved it! The puzzles felt JUST intersting enough to make you feel slightly smarter then you should, while at the same time not making you want to throw your remote against the wall. It was charming and funny crushing the little Beaker every chance you got, and that's what gave you the incentive to keep going! It was sadly short though. Great level.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!
There is a sticker prize you collect at the end which unlocks race mode by placing it on the clipboard at the start, hopefully this will add a little replay value. I was aiming for a quick blast of simple fun, probably a reaction to playing loads of multi-part extremely long levels recently, some taking up to an hour to complete.

I played this level, and thought it was a good. I wasn't really feeling the theme, like all the different material blocks just felt odd to me. I'm sure it's like that with the idea of scientific experiments behind them, or maybe you wanted them to represent the scientific elements. The theme just seemed unpolished to me. I can't quite put a finger on it, lol. No complaints about gameplay. I especially liked the scoreboard room and trying to get all the grabby things for points with the low gravity jumps and jumping from those DNA molecule thingies to get higher. Overall a good level.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I always strive to provide some element of originality in contrast to the multitude of generic clones swamping the servers. i'll be publishing another weird concept this week.
Now if only I could learn to make some fun gameplay I'd be able to make half decent levels.
