I've been hinting at a secret project on Pocket Moon Podcast and it is time for me to announce it and ask for beta testers.

My project is to create an iPhone app that takes LBP.me and adds extra functionality that I would like to see to go along with functionality that is already there. Thanks to help from folks around the community like Bluhound, ShadowRiver, and fodawim the project has come together very nicely.

So, that means it is time to test the heck out of this app :-)

If you have an iOS (Apple) device that is running iOS4 or iOS5 and would like to give the app a test then please let me know.		2012-06-12 19:34:00

Sounds awesome, but unfortunetly, the iOS on my iPod is, I think iOS3, since it takes hours to update it, and even then it isn't done.2012-06-12 21:49:00

Sorry about the late reply. I posted across all forums and then on Twitter about this and suddenly Mrs. Poo came home and said we needed to leave NOW! so I had to run out in middle of all the excitement. It is a lot more difficult than just having a beta code, and I need to manually add every beta tester to my developer account, because of that I only chose 5 testers for this step. The app should be out in the next few weeks though! I am going to try to make it work for iOS3 devices, but it will certainly work on iOS4 and 5 :-)

I wanted to resurrect this thread to point out that RocketCheetah.com posted an in-depth preview of the app, which now goes by the name of LBP Hub since Apple feels that LittleBigHub is too similar to LittleBigPlanet.

Seems a bit harsh to blow off the app like that after Bludhound and I went through all the trouble to make a free app for the community :-(

But Central has been in it ever since I added the sites to the app so I guess it still meets your qualifications

I'm willing to test it if that's still available. Unless you have some sort of beta keys to put into the app if it's on the App Store, looks like we'll need a/n .ipa file. I have a jailbroken device for such.

iPod touch 3 running iOS 5, likely the last version it will ever run.

I have no idea how soon it will be out. It seems to be in some sort of "In Review" hell. Once an app goes "In Review", it would be pretty unusual for it to take an entire 3 days to go live, usually it takes between 1 hour an 1 day I'd say. This app has been "In Review" for about two weeks

Weird. I've never had more than a couple of days myself.... maybe because of the nature of it tying in with someone else's data (Sony)? They may have to do some additional checking.		2012-08-29 17:51:00

Ever since I first say this I have been ecstatic about it. Despite lbp.me working really well in the browser, the new UI setup is incredibly nice. I can't wait to get it!

If it's a new app, 2 weeks is about right.

I think you might be confusing "In Review" with the entire review process. Usually an app is submitted, and then it can take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks for it to go into the state of "In Review". So it sits for that time as "Waiting for Review", and then it eventually goes to "In Review".

This app had already been "Waiting for Review" for about 13 days until it went "In Review", and it has sat there for 2 weeks. That is a very long time to be "In Review".

My guess is that they are trying to contact Sony to see if they are ok with me using LBP as I have. The thing is, I specifically told the reviewer that I had worked with some folks from Media Molecule on the app, so I wish they had come back to me and asked for my contacts (Spaff and Tom Kiss both helped to test the app, and I checked with them to make sure it was ok to make it before even beginning).		2012-08-30 13:23:00
