Hey there, I'm wondering about the LBP2 you can download from playstation plus. My old ps3 has recently had problems with the disc drive, and I'm trying to back up my profile on it. I was thinking of downloading the LBP2 from PS+ so I can use that to backup my profile (since I cant use the disc game). Does anyone know if the downloaded version of LBP2 will automatically recognize and use my original profile (from the disc LBP2) in the old PS3? It would help solve a lot of problems for me. Thanks!

well since your profile isn't stored on the disc it should, I believe Evret said he transfered his stuff over to the digital version with no problems. ...but I'm not ps+ so don't quote me on it.

Yes it works fine. I switched over to the digital version a few days ago. The only thing was that it updates separately. So I have to update my disk to 1.14 and then the digital copy to 1.14. But that's fine with me. The Save Data did transfer. And I'm pretty sure it used the same Game Data.
