We need a level queue system ingame with web editing

Archive: 15 posts

I constantly see levels that I want to play when on the web but I would like to add them to a queue of levels to play when I get home and fire up LBP. This would be a great feature for MM to roll out as a web service and implement into Sackbook if it ever comes back.2009-01-05 21:26:00

Seems like someone's getting lazy. Is it really to much work to search for a level that you want to play so bad?2009-01-06 00:37:00

Yea, you busted me. I'm lazy. I'd rather play levels than search for them. I know I'm not the only one that would want a feature like this. It would also be a great addition to this site if we could just find levels being promoted or requesting feedback and just drop them in our queue.

If it was there I'd probably use it too...

but I think there's more important things to add than this ;p

I think plenty of people would use it, even if this website just put it in a printable list I would use it lol, much easier than typing them or writing them up yourself. Most the levels on this site are at least worth playing, and they are almost all better than the crap you find browsing randomly.2009-01-06 19:10:00

Of course people on this forum would use it.. but that's what, about 100 people?
You have to understand that people on this forum have a favourable bias towards these suggestions.
Think of the hundreds of thousands of people who don't look up levels and have a stockpile of them to play. Personally I only play levels randomly and never plan to play more than one from this site at a time.
Most people will just take a complete random approach and play what comes to them, they won't go "oh! that level looks good, i'll add it to my list" they'll say "oh! that level looks good, I'll play it."
It'd be a complete waste of time to impliment a piece of software which can be avoided by typing your list into wordpad and clicking "print".
I'd rather see them fixing bugs and making DLC than adding pointless additional things to be honest.
Nice idea, but not really thought through

Hey yall, long time lurker, first time poster..

So I'm not the only one who keeps a messy sheet of paper with lvls and names on it close by? = ) I get most of them from here, its alot of fun and I have found some super-cool levels!! Thank you everyone! I love reading the Showcase threads!

The reason I came on today was to search around for some answers on this very subject. I have hearted many lvls and would love to be able to just push a button that takes me right back to all of them, or am i missing something? If the lvl i want to play isnt in my "recently played", i have to type it each time? I have np problem with that, but was just wondering if there is something i am missing..

Thanks all, and sorry if this has been covered before...if so, please be nice = )

This is a FANTASTIC idea, I never thought of this before, but with F4F on here now and all the other cool levels here I want to play, it'd be so cool! All the info you put on the level when you publish it is what goes on the level's page on the website. There you can search for levels (or people could put links on the levels here so people could just go to that page and add the level to their list of levels) and then when you get on LBP, you could go to something like LBP playlist and then it would automatically start all the levels you want to play in order, or at least that's what I think they would do IF they did this.

This would be a fantastic feature, but first we need to get the game working the way it should. I'm sick of the !@#$ing bugs.

I've thought of this idea before. Except mine was a bit different, and I was thinking more on the terms of playlists.2009-01-08 02:07:00

I think you might be missing something.

If a level you have hearted is not showing up in the "recently played" section and you wish to play it again, go to "My levels" (even if you don't have any) which is on the info moon to the left...

Then hit R1 or whatever the shuffle buttons are on the top right. That will take you to your "My hearted levels" and "My hearted creators" pages. This should be what you are looking for.
