How to make a controllable book?
Archive: 5 posts
Hey Im rushing to complete my LBN TRIBUTE here, and I was wondering, is it possible to "flip a page in a book" with the tools in LBP2? I want to look cool and like a real book, but my reccomended option is just to go to a faded camera... So it LOOKS like you turned a page, but I want to blow minds and let THEM flip, AND see that the page was physically flipped | 2012-06-03 04:52:00 Author: SuperROBO1 Posts: 358 |
You could have a page flipping motion animate on the screen..? | 2012-06-04 02:19:00 Author: Wolffy123 Posts: 406 |
Yeah, I think his question is how to do it Perhaps move a piece of sticker panel or other with a paper texture/sticker diagonaly so it covers the current screen, then make the text fade in. As if the text appears as you turn the pages. | 2012-06-04 03:14:00 Author: Unknown User |
uhh my guess is to use notebook paper take a pic make a sticker panel with the notebook paper stick you made and animate it | 2012-06-04 03:23:00 Author: Teepeenocks Posts: 102 |
That would be very difficult to get a smooth page flicking animation. A simple solution would be to have the camera change so that we see the book from the side, that is, looking up the spine of the book. In the Da Vinci series there is an open book object. Pairin gtwo of them would make an open book. Then you could make a page out of a few wafer thin bits of paper material, and that way you would get a smooth effect with no animation necessary. The only problem is that its not very flowing to havethe camera rotate just to watch a page flick. | 2012-06-08 20:06:00 Author: bluesteel789 Posts: 159 |
