Gameplay Kit Improvements

Improvements for Level Kit: 1. There should be two checkpoint objects: a) an entrance b) a normal checkpoint With this, they should allow you to change the amount of lives on a checkpoint. (This should apply to scoreboards as well, because someone found out that scoreboards only have double-life checkpoints in them.) Improvements for Powerups: Improvements for the creatinator I thought of: 1. You know how there's a one-shot input for the emitter, where every time the input activated, it emitted the object once until the input turns off and then back on again? I was wondering: didn't they use that with the creatinator? For instance, every time you tapped the screen (which is the new trigger for the creatinator), it would only shoot once, until you tapped it again. 2. If you shot the creatinator rotated away from its original orientation, the object shot from it would rotate that way! Improvement for the grappling hook: 1. Length of grapple. Improvement for the grabinators I thought of: 1. Weight able to be lifted. Improvement for the jetpack I thought of: 1. Speed. Improvements for all powerups: 1. Activatable by logic, or, failing to do so, a visibility tweaker. This would make it hard to tell where you got/lost your powerup, and less cluttered. 2. Usable underwater. That's all for now. Any more suggestions, post them here and I will add them to my list ASAP! | 2012-06-02 22:14:00 Author: L1N3R1D3R Posts: 13447 |
Jetpacks could indeed use an option to go faster or slower, and underwater, that would be so awesome! | 2012-06-02 22:22:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
@nys: I, too, agree that you should also be able to use all powerups underwater! Updated. | 2012-06-02 22:42:00 Author: L1N3R1D3R Posts: 13447 |
BTW, a little off topic, but where the heck can I get a teathered Jetpack? | 2012-06-02 22:47:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
BTW, a little off topic, but where the heck can I get a teathered Jetpack? ... You don't have one? It's a default powerup in LBP1 included with the game before you unlock anything... | 2012-06-03 01:43:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |

u use creatinator with the touch screen? i assume its like that for the paintinator then... so i guss u lose the "power of touch" instead of the grabbing... | 2012-06-03 07:26:00 Author: ythyth Posts: 400 |

This is not a improvement, but a whole new function ( actually we need this is LBP2 as well ) A text editor, like, you write whateve you want it to say, choose a font, size, material etc. and it will create the letters as individual objects with the chosen material.. Like, it I choose a specific font, a cardboard material and choose to write ''SACK'' it will create 4 cardboard objects: ''S'' ''A'' ''C'' ''K'' with the chosen font This would be really really useful | 2012-06-21 10:42:00 Author: AcAnimate Posts: 174 |
@AcAnimate: Well, the notes allow you to write a note in a specific text, size, and color, and you can set the backdrop color (you know that yellow note background) to be visible or not. | 2012-06-21 15:13:00 Author: L1N3R1D3R Posts: 13447 |
@AcAnimate: Well, the notes allow you to write a note in a specific text, size, and color, and you can set the backdrop color (you know that yellow note background) to be visible or not. and that local space setting is going to be handy for making HUDs. can you stick other things to the notes? | 2012-06-21 15:25:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |

Yeah I know that, But that ain't physical objects My idea was that it should be a tool ( text editor ) that created each letter as a physical object, that you could do stuff to like connect it to a piston, rope of grab it etc. | 2012-06-21 17:31:00 Author: AcAnimate Posts: 174 |
