Is this thing on? I don't think it's on...

(I never know what to call these threads... so I went with someone's gran trying to make a message on the answering machine/voice mail...)

Hi. I've been playing LBP for a little over a month and have a few levels of my own in the works. Sometimes I'm a web cartoonist, though not actively for about a year. I'm also an AFOL, which stands for Adult Fan Of LEGO. Dissatisfied with the LEGO levels I've come across on LBP, I decided to design some faithful bricks, plates, wedges and the like from scratch and I'm pretty happy with the results. I currently design on LBP, but I have LBP2 arriving in the mail next week.

Not all my levels will be LEGO themed. I have a demolition derby or two in the works which are a bit of a cross between Motorstorm and Twisted Metal... a level that is sort of a tribute to my favorite LBP designer (Lockstitch), an angry birds tribute level that has nothing to do with bomb survival... and a level based entirely on one of the ship decorations that comes in the PotC level pack and the entire level has an "ocean motion" effect. =O

Anyway, that's me. If you like LEGO bricks, you will like my first published level. Being an exposition, I included castle bricks, a space ship, a car, and you can build a house. Come on by. I might even run it with you.

No, that was a birthday gift from another artist who used to work on a comic strip with me. He is an extremely talented artist named Victor Rosas. He likes to tell people he worked at Disney (Land... At times directing visitor traffic, at other times driving the parking lot shuttle. Though he never worked there as an artist, I think he should be designing animated series or video games...)2012-06-02 21:10:00

You're right there, he is talented. Can you show us any of your work?

I'll post my stuff somewhere. probably if there's a "show us what you've got" forum.

As a side note, if you play my published LEGO level and look at the arches thinking "HEY! those don't look right!" fret not, I redesigned them today, but if I ever edit this level that's up it will be a while. I'll just use the new designs in subsequent levels and leave my mistakes intact on this one, most likely.

Ok, there's sections for both of this!
First is the Artwork and Creativity one,
Next is the level showcase

Hi DreadRandal and Welcome to LBPC! So glad you joined. You heard right! This is really a great place to be. It's an awesome place to make new friends, learn techniques and tricks and just to have a good time. To help you explore the site I'll provide a few links for you.

The Level Showcase (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?40-Level-Showcase) area is the place you want to go to make a thread about your level. We have an optional F4F (feedback for feedback) system where you tell others to check out your level, come back and give feedback/suggestions and you'll do the same for them. It's a valuable system that is underused here. Be sure to use the LBP.me tool (the white bell in a blue box icon) http://www.lbpcentral.com/images/lbpme.png this will pull your level info from LBP.me and place it in the thread for you.
Spotlights (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/content.php?124-Community-Content) -- In the mood to play some awesome member levels? This is the place to go. We're currently on episode 86!
Help (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?126-LBP2-Help%21) and Tutorials (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?127-LBP2-Tutorials) --Need help with a LBP issue? Check out our extensive tutorial library and help sections. We have tons of extremely knowledgeable members who are more than happy to help out.

That's all for now. In the mean time, have fun and enjoy your time here. If you need anything, please feel free to ask.

Welcome to LBPC.

Please refer to the Official Rules (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=21530-Rules-) and Guidelines (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=36936-) if you have any questions how the site runs. Another very helpful area to check out is FAQ (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/faq.php?faq=vb3_board_faq#faq_vb3_board_usage) knowing these will help make your experience here more enjoyable.

Have fun.
