http://lbp.me/v/bqdwre LBN Tribute: Indiana Jones and the Amulet of Ra Level 1: May, 1939. Archaeologists discover a temple buried in the sand near the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. The door has an inscription ?Amulet of Ra.? The door can not be opened and the archaeologists on site want to preserve everything so they do not use force to get inside. Indiana Jones hears news of the recent discovery and later receives a mysterious letter stating that the Amulet of Ra lies with the heart of August the Strong. After much research, Jones discovers that August the Strong?s heart is buried in a crypt in a cathedral in Germany. Hoping that the Amulet will open the temple doors, Indiana makes his way to Germany. His hopes are to be able to obtain many artifacts from the temple in hopes of preserving them. Music by Liquid_Blood_ and O165_vivaldi-NL Link: http://lbp.me/v/bqdwre Gameplay: The level includes about a 2 minute intro movie, followed by platforming gameplay inside the crypt followed by one last cutscene. Historical relevance: Many archaeological discoveries were made in the Valley of the Kings during this time period. August the Strong?s heart really is buried in the Cathedral in Germany. Ra was the Egyptian Sun God. Indiana Jones canon: Indiana Jones was working at Marshall College during this time. Rene Belloq was one of Indiana?s rivals in college and afterward, stealing artifacts from him and claiming them as his own findings in Raiders of the Lost Ark. During the movie Rene dies after looking into the Ark. Richard Belloq (his brother who I made up) plays an important role in the levels. Also, the German Army continually play important parts in the films and books. Furthermore, in The Last Crusade, Indiana has to enter into a crypt under a library to find the tomb of a Knight who has part of a tablet. Level 2 and Level 3 will be released soon. http://lbp.me/v/bne3p9 | 2012-06-01 13:56:00 Author: shookie99 Posts: 447 |

Well , I played this and I really enjoyed it. Great work with the music , it was like the original one. Also I loved the details and the skulls. The obstacles were really nicely done Great job and thank you for giving us such a fun level | 2012-06-02 12:07:00 Author: Pyrotrooper91 Posts: 337 |
Thanks folks. Fairly disappointed at the moment. I had to publish them on a new account because my earth is full. Spent about 130 hours on all three levels. Barely even been played at all. Anyway if you do play them I hope you enjoy them. | 2012-06-02 21:02:00 Author: shookie99 Posts: 447 |
what a great series Shookie! Loved the story line and as always, you've created a great environment. I liked the first part ok, but felt it was lacking in the gameplay department. I mean it had some good platforming for sure but I was expecting a little more. Well I got more in chapters 2 and 3! The third part was probably my favorite of the series. I liked the unique and clever gameplay components here especially with using the powers of the amulet to move things around. The bosses were good. Challenging, but good all the same. Good series man, I really enjoyed it. good luck in the contest. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-OR6fTeI8EDw/TySWVJINsPI/AAAAAAAABR4/aSEUWR2RrpU/s413/APPROVED.jpg | 2012-06-10 03:28:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
Thanks bio! I put a lot of time in just researching real historical events and all the Indiana Jones info including the movies and books. I knew from the beginning I wanted an original story but still stay true to how the Indy films were written. Gameplay in level 1 is minimal as I didn't want to spend too much time on it and not have time to build part two. I built part three first and its my favorite. Part two has a lot of stuff omitted because of thermo. Anyway, thanks again. | 2012-06-10 21:10:00 Author: shookie99 Posts: 447 |
I'm a huge fan of Indiana Jones and Egyptian Mythology, so I've got it queued. Great job on the level badge and description, but, just saying, that's the Eye of Horus. Regardless, it looks and sounds great based on what I saw. Good luck! | 2012-06-10 21:33:00 Author: Super_Clone Posts: 849 |
Thanks for the enthusiasm. Hope you like it. If you google eye of ra it also shows the eye of horus. Here is a wiki link that I used as reference. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_ra#section_1 | 2012-06-11 00:41:00 Author: shookie99 Posts: 447 |
