Wow.... Interesting question.. I don't know if there's any way to know the answer. I got both games right when they were released and there was already thousands of published levels by the time I put the disc in.

I think I published the first level featuring Tiger Woods....

This guy published the first bomb survival: http://lbp.me/u/Computer_Virus/levels

Unfortunately he seems to have deleted it.

I tried searching for the first level on lbp.me but this happened (http://lbp.me/search?q=&u=&g=lbp1&pl=1&d=year&t=newest):

Would anyone happen to know the exact date the LBP1 beta started? I need to know to search for the first level.

Edit: Alright, not really a way to confirm or deny this, but after a bit of searching, I found this level (http://lbp.me/v/dned/info), which could possibly be one of the first levels. But likely not the first, because judging by images, it looks to be well built so that would've taken more time than the first person to jump on the beta and publish something.

So it could be within the first 1,000 levels or so, who knows? Edit: Got my dates backwards, so the level is old, but not near the first.

The levels in the lbp1 beta didn't transfer into the main game, so that complicates matters.2012-06-01 05:01:00

Are you sure? I thought that only happened with LBP2?

Found this from December 2008.

http://www.ugo.com/games/littlebigplanet-levels-top-50?page=5

May help get a little closer to finding out.

This one's a bit earlier:
http://www.1up.com/news/1up-10-favorite-user-generated-big

And this one has a poster that states he can't wait to play everyone's levels when lbp is released in 12 hours.

Just looking at those levels remind me of the bright days of LBP before noobs and trolls come in and trash the community. I'm guessing Computer_Virus (a creator) has started the whole bomb survival thing, but it's not his/her fault. I'm guessing whoever copied it made it a bad level.2012-06-01 20:01:00

I seen it before, It's image for Error 500 Internal Sever Error, it's for specific server software error that prevented sending/generating page that HTTP protocol don't handle, for example when you got something wrong in server configuration but it really can be anything even random error

And this is also odd since lbp.me should throw 404 wrror if level is deleted

I know the first level that I played was "Flammable Fortress" by my older brother. As soon as I got LBP he ordered me to play his level lol.2012-06-07 02:59:00

Beta used same database as beta so it'a actully does not matter really, first beta level is first LBP1 level ever published note that lbp.me link has actually encoded level id (which normaly is normal number) to custom numeral system (to short url as much as possible). Each entry in relative database have a index number (but dont need to depend on software you use) commonly called id, to prevent name collision it's used in lbp.me for levels (and now also lists) instead of names (unlike profile url where collision is impossible). You can see that from fact that level you showed have only 4 symbols in id where today levels got 6, because now we got few millions of levels, and not only that removed level id is not reused again, so normal level id now might be few times larger number then actual number of levels.

So based on that first level should have 1 symbol or more depending how encoder works, but it should be 1. so if we find one level with one symbol in id, that will be the oldest level that exists, since real old one might be deleted, if we find more it will be hard to confirm if this is oldest standing level, since we don't know how encoding works and which is lowest id, and we don't know real decoded id to reverse engineer it (at that point we would not even need too lol)

So i general... most likely we will never know which one is first or even oldest

Yeah. We already have over 6.2 million levels. There's an average of 1 level published every second. It takes 15 seconds to look at the next page of any level, as there are 30 levels per page. If you do nothing but search for the level, it's going to take 6 weeks to find the oldest level.
