Musicals

You know, movies that are musicals. Does anyone like them? Personally I don't, and I don't know of anyone who does. Sometimes a move is fine, but then it just grows really awkward when the actors begin to break into song. It's not like it happens in real life or anything! Oh wait... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRKfZ0mGLaY  | 2012-05-29 18:38:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
I love Les Miserables. Very evil, I know. And it's gonna be a movie, so yay! LOVE <3 The fact that they're getting actors who can actually sing is a plus XD Very significant plus Also, I love Dr. Horrible. Other than that... EVIL! | 2012-05-29 18:41:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
ooh, I loved Dr. Horrible too! There are some that I can't stand. High School Musical, Pollyanna (or as I call it to my kids, Smellyanna), Fiddler on the Roof, Sound of Music. But there are others that I like that have a bit of singing in them, Mary Poppins, Elvis Movies, Grease, Shirley Temple movies, to name a few. | 2012-05-29 19:11:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
Any movie in which a song does not belong should not have a song. Period. I mean it. I writhed in pain as I listened to Batman doing opera. Never again. | 2012-05-29 19:44:00 Author: Sackpapoi Posts: 1195 |

So movies that should not have songs should not have songs? Oh, bearer of great wisdom! Impart upon us all some more of your magnificent tautologies... | 2012-05-29 19:45:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |

Oh wait... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRKfZ0mGLaY  That was incredibly awkward. Only musical thing (excluding anything that involves Tenacious D but I doubt you're including that) that I ever cared for wasn't even a musical. But **** the topic, Hugh Laurie is such a badass. And so is his album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvd5i-H-nIU So yeah, most musicals suck and House isn't a musical so my post is completely irrelevant. But Hugh Laurie. | 2012-05-30 16:09:00 Author: Unknown User |

I can't stand these films either, not just because spontaneous singing and rehearsed dancing on the spot is so unrealistic that it makes the entire movie seem like it's lampooning another film, or ridiculing itself, but it's always so obnoxiously cheerful. Until they make "My Sick, Pathetic Life; The Musical!" I think I'll give them a miss when they come out in a theatre near me. | 2012-05-30 16:36:00 Author: Ironface Posts: 432 |
