So what's brought this on then? Is Disney pulling it's support or something?
Seems a little odd for things to suddenly get removed from the Store.

EDIT-
I've just remembered that the car deco's, and the drill item are in this pack. Ooooh, it'd be a real shame to permanently miss out on those.

This is a rather unique case and we're trying to give everyone as much warning as possible, so that anybody who may want the content can pick it up now before it's too late.

I can promise you though that this is by no means setting a precedent for the removal of any further content in future and that we have an awesome line-up of new Disney content due to be released this year.

It really does have some nice items in the kit.

The LittleBigPlanet Wiki has more information on its contents:

They can't take your content away that you paid for already. It's only leaving the store, not your popit

So why exactly is this happening?

Should we expect more of this sort of thing happening with other DLC in the near future?

Nothing lasts forever, it seems.

Now that was unexpected =/

good thing I got the level kit... that drill is still probably the best may to rotate decos (owing to the fact that you can merge it too) and its a shame that future lbp2 players will miss out on it... any chance y'all could do a mining kit to replace it? =p and it still has some of the best decos, materials and objects.

oh well... It was really good of you to give the community a heads up anyway

That's correct.
If you've purchased the content, you will be able to continue using the content after its removal from the store.
Which is why we're giving everyone a chance to pick it up now before it's too late.

I cannot go into the specifics about this contents' removal.
However I can assure you that this does not mean that further content will be removed from the store in future.

Ooooh conspiracies! I leiks!

Conspiracies, eh? I reckon I know what's going on here - There's nothing at all wrong with the kits, it's just Sony deliberately engineering a situation that will encourage people to panic buy some of their stuff. 'Buy this now or miss out on some of the good stuff forever!'
Yeah, I see your evil plans, Sony. The truth will out!

On the off chance someone takes this seriously, please understand I'm just joking.

That is most definitely not the case.

With the exceptions of the Rare T-Shirts and a couple of the seasonal addons, we make no attempt to encourage sales by engineering a timed removal of the content.

You quoted me before I got the chance to edit my post with some white text. I'd just like to make it clear I was joking, and that my post doesn't reflect any genuine suspicions.

It's cool.
Just wanted to make the situation clear there for anybody else reading this thread.

You guys are awesome and we would never force you to purchase content by enforcing planned time restrictions on it.

We spend a lot of time developing regular content updates for everyone and we would love for as many people as possible to check them out.

Good thing I bought everything necessary to make an Incredibles-themed level a while ago. It's a shame that this is being taken off the store, but it's very nice that those who already bought it will still be able to use it.2012-05-29 21:42:00

My theory is that it's Disney/Pixar so a issue with liscencing may have cropped up. Removing it from sale while trying to re-secure the correct distribution rights makes sense.

Which is why it may come back, no guarantee just depends if he right people can sign off on it again.

The content is being removed on June 5th, so you will have time to purchase it this weekend.

This is one of my favorite DLC's and I hate to see it go. I didn't get any of the costumes though, so I'll definitely have to go in and get some of those. The hairs! The look great. Thanks for the heads up Steven.2012-05-30 15:54:00

Maybe it wil be re-released as some "Superpower Pack" with tools and stuff. Though Marvel would seem a better choice for that.2012-05-31 02:53:00

I'm not really interested into the Incredibles, and this is one DLC I don't plan on buying. It's not one of my favorite Pixar movies, and there's only one level in the pack (as I know of).

The only Disney Pack I really like is the Pirates one. It's based off of a movie that was based off of a ride, the items are cool, and it includes trophies for LBP1.

You're right that there's only one level (http://wiki.lbpcentral.com/Mission_Incredible). Its purpose is to demonstrate the new items and distribute their prize bubbles. It's these contents which are useful rather than the stage.

I bought the kit last night even though I had never been very interested in The Incredibles myself. There are some very nice materials and useful doodads in the pack that I would be sorry to never have. The first thing I did, of course, was place The Underminer's Drill and attach all the new decorations to it. Spinny.

Just saw this today too.
Luckily I love Incredibles and got the full kit when it was released..

This can't be just a Pixar/Diz-Nee liscencing issue, or the Toy Story pack would be removed..
So just for The Incredibles? hmm..

Disney is fine! Their shiny new Tron: Legacy (http://wiki.lbpcentral.com/Tron:_Legacy_Minipack) pack was released only a week after The Incredibles (http://wiki.lbpcentral.com/The_Incredibles_Costume_Kit) went offline. And you know more Disney content will be along soon enough.

The poor Incredibles must have some legal trouble that nobody is free to discuss. It's funny when you consider that their movie is about superheroes being forced into retirement because of lawsuits. Perhaps life is imitating art!
