How To Disable a Controlled Sackbot's Jump?

I'm making a level that has similar controls to The Legend of Zelda. So when the sackbot senses a certain tag over a gap, it'll jump. So I connected the tag sensor to the "X" input on the sackbot's circuit board, and I tweaked its "Can It Jump?" behavior to "No". So I expected it not to jump, but when I pressed X, it still jumped. If I changed its Layer Changing behavior to no, it couldn't change layers. So why isn't it working for jumping? I don't understand. You need 2 controlinators side-by-side on the sackbots micro chip. The one on the left should be set to receive the same color as your transmitter, and set to NOT override sackbot. The one on the right should be set to not receive anything, and set so it DOES override sackbot. You then wire all the outputs from the left controllinator to the corresponding inputs on the right controllinator EXCEPT THE X BUTTON. You could then wire your sensor to the X button on the right controllinator You can also use this method to completely change the sackbot's controls, for example if you wire X to R1, pressing X will cause the bot to try and grab etc. | 2012-05-26 11:09:00 Author: evret Posts: 612 |
