Portals

I think it would be cool if you could have portals in a level that teleport to other places, it would be like a checkpoint except opened and glowing. You would choose which portal it goes to via the tweak option, with 2 connected portals you could teleport there and back but with one, you would only teleport to that place, they would have an invisible cp chip looking thing you would place where you would want it to teleport to. You could also have the option to make the portal invisible and to also be used as a checkpoint, there ya go :] Whuddya think? | 2009-01-04 22:01:00 Author: MrLinksys Posts: 35 |
um...there wouldn't be as much of a challenge if you had portals or whatever...just stick with basics | 2009-01-06 23:54:00 Author: Arven7 Posts: 11 |
Sounds like the game Orange Box...it could probably have some cool, but very limited use. | 2009-01-10 01:29:00 Author: Mattrick Posts: 214 |
I guess it would come in handy for my Portal level, but not really anything else. | 2009-01-10 01:34:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
I like that idea, but I think it should have another tutorial done for it. Like a video explaining the properties. I have a pretty good idea, the portals could make loads of puzzles! You could be able to transport like blocks and things, which would create LOADS of puzzles and posibilities. Yeah, this is one of my favourite ideas there is, thumbs up! | 2009-01-10 12:52:00 Author: Bear Posts: 2079 |
Nah, don't really think that it would work so well, it doesn't really open up some new exiting possibilities except maybe some puzzles. It would be a lot of work for media molecule to create and there are lots of more important things which we need more. | 2009-01-10 17:46:00 Author: Marklin80 Posts: 458 |

All you're doing it taking an object and moving it. | 2009-01-10 17:55:00 Author: Trap_T Posts: 431 |
I don't know why anyone would say this isn't a good idea. Portals would open up so many new possibilities. The most obvious is a Portal-type game, but that wouldn't be all. It could also be used to create the illusion of having more sideways or up-and-down room than there is, or making a scene look really good. It could also be used, say, if you have to avoid the police and one sees you, it could teleport you to jail. It'd be great. | 2009-01-10 18:05:00 Author: BassDeluxe Posts: 984 |

I know what you mean, I've also thought before about Portals, it would really make lots of new possibilities, like when you're in some kind of a minigame level, you have to press a button to be send right into the minigame, so you'll start right away.. | 2009-01-10 19:03:00 Author: SmallLargeEarthling Posts: 29 |
