Wierd glitch plaguing my intro

Archive: 4 posts

I'm trying to put some final touches on my Pac Man level, but an issue has popped up. I don't know exactly when it started, or what might cause it. When the level first starts, it's showing the score of 0 in the upper left corner. It never did that before in the 2 previous published versions of the level, and it sticks out like a sore thumb during the intro. I tried taking a picture of it, but it doesn't show up in the picture. Any idea what might be causing this? There's no change in use of cameras...in fact, the intro doesn't even use a camera. The game itself now uses movie cameras instead of game cameras, but i tried deleting those, and it didn't change anything.2012-05-25 03:29:00

hi Branneyan,, or
THats a srange one. If you can take a snapshot of it it sounds like the score is being displayed.
I'm not sure if you have the score displayed in your level when you collect points.
What you can do is check the SCORE SENSOR and see if the options (display score over player is set to off- it will display rthe score in the top left corner
- or if you dont want to see the score, set it so the score sensor does not visually show the score)
Check all scoring bits in your level (such as score givers or score sensors. There may be a timer or counter or sensor etc., that is accidently set to update the score as the game starts.)

Hmm,. if it apperas saying 0 at the very start of the game, through your intro, i'm guessing it may be that there is a score sensor somewhere that is set to display the score in the top left
corner. You may have added one not realising it was still there. Hope that helps buddy

It's one of 2 things....either there is a global setting that I don't know about that got changed, or the level is glitched. I tried deleting every object in the entire level, and saving to a new slot, it still appeared. Then, I captured the entire level as an object, and pasted into a new level in a new slot, and the problem went away. I guess that's the fix then.2012-05-25 20:44:00
