Sweet what filter is that? :o It's a really cool effect i found out. Just take a plasma cloud,then blur> pixelize, then bump map the plasma layer. (Yes you can bump map a layer with its self). And voila you got a cool block tech thingy. I only think the edges look a bit choppy... :/

Just save it as .xcf AND as a .jpg. Just so you always have a file where you can change things. That's atleast what i do (.xcf is original Gimp file, for those who don't know)

I have no ideas either... i made a My Chemical Romance one earlier, but it sucks so much i'm not even gonna bother lol, i just didnt know what to put on it.... i found a thing earlier that you could try - unless you aready have/someone else has - like make 3-d text, and then use som eeffects etc to make it look like it is exploding away (so the letters are going away from each otehr etc)...could suit you

Now I've got a solution "Okay, first of all once you've downloaded all your brushes put them all into the same folder. For example mine is on my desktop named "Gimp brushes." Then you go into GIMP, File>references. Down the bottom on the options in Preferences there will be the option "Folders". Click the little arrow symbol on the left of this to expand. Click the "Brushes" option and then you just add your folder with all the brushes into the directory. Hope it helps."

To install on a mac: Right click Gimp, select "Show Package Contents", then to the following directory: /Contents/Resources/share/gimp/2.0/brushes/. Thats it! Just drop it into the "brushes" directory, and you done. This any help?
