Non-LBP music!

Archive: 23 posts

Listen here! (http://soundcloud.com/noeltkeith/robotic-raver)

I made some music on my computer, put it on soundcloud, and would love you to hear it

A bit different from my normal style, but I'm still getting used to my DAW (FL Studios Producer's Edition)

UPDATE: Instead of making an entirely new thread about this, how about I just post all of my non-LBP music here? Ok then!

((If you want to be a good person, and I know you do, you can help me out by BUYING my music here: http://musicnok.bandcamp.com/))

Enjoy! Comments are appreciated.

Great music!

I really like the synths. You probably have some musical knowledge, yes (like theory and such, which I totally lack [I want to learn it though, just don't know wear to go, or look])?

@ Lsw222: The internet is your source for wisdom. Check Fruityloops for tutorials with topics that might be interesting for you. Also Newgrounds has got a great audio community with people who are more then willing to help you out. I am making music for 15 years and I STILL use these sources cause... you can never know enough regarding audio. But at the same time, never forget that it is all about the end result, and it does not matter how it took you there. Keep up the creativity!

Ive only just started making music on my PC.
@Lsw222: Well, all of my musical-ness is self taught. I havn't taken any music theory classes or anything. I've always just had a good ear. To be honest, I find PC composing to be quite overwhelming! Maybe it's just that I'm not used to it yet, but it seems like people just throw stuff in the programs just because they can.

@CarfDarko: You seem to know what you're doing! I liked your music on Newgrounds, too.

Do you make all your synths and sounds, or do you use plugins?

Just out of curiosity, where did you get the glockenspiel sound, I've been looking for that for a long while.

Great tracks, I really like Glassy Waters.

I make a few, but most are just plugin presets that I edit. The glockenspiel audio clip I downloaded in a free orchestral sound pack a while ago. It came with tons of sounds! I could send it to you, but I dont know how2012-07-27 07:13:00

Was it a large Orchestral SF2 (Soundfont) pack? If so, I have that, I just haven't looked through all the instruments yet.

If not, you can just post the download link here or PM it, I'd gladly appreciate it.
