Lego Stop-Motion Videos

I'm making LEGO stop motion video's with two of my classmates, there's more to come! This little Stop-Motion Video was made for school. Two racers, XD and Turbo! going all out to get first to that finish, leaving a trail of destruction ... Pay attention to the background too, strange stuff happens there sometimes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6X-HTXJkxA | 2012-05-19 22:43:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
good job :3 | 2012-05-19 23:37:00 Author: sackboy7789 Posts: 280 |
Thank you, its smoother than the videos I did before, but the constant light change and the normal floor being visible at times ... X_X The video's still bound to be better than my other classmates' groups, not because I'm confident but because they won't put any effort in theirs. | 2012-05-19 23:40:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
COMIC SAAAAAAAAAANS!! *lifts arms in rage* Nah, jk. I just like saying that. I personally think Comic Sans is severely overused. That video was a bit... random. I demand more. NAO. :kz: | 2012-05-20 01:22:00 Author: Kaboosh99 Posts: 359 |

Yeah, I made stuff like this a long while back also. In fact, I still have them. GOOD TIMES INDEED. | 2012-05-20 09:30:00 Author: Sackpapoi Posts: 1195 |
Very good although did you use a fixed camera? Also you need a permanent light source | 2012-05-20 11:07:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
Very good although did you use a fixed camera? Yes, a fixed camera, and Radioactive STILL managed to move it from time to time. Also you need a permanent light source We have learned not to rely on the sun for lighting. WHY'D YOU USE COMIC SANS, PUNK?!! BTW, what year of school are you in? Cus I've never had such a wierd school assignment. Comic Sans? Where? And the fourth year, I hope we get more weird assignments. | 2012-05-20 11:11:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
Have you tried claymation? That's always popular | 2012-05-20 11:12:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |

Hah, I used to make stop motions all the time, until one day I broke my lego baseplate and never bought a new one. | 2012-05-21 21:18:00 Author: Megaboy93 Posts: 77 |
Yay, we're gonna buy MOAR lego's and make MOAR stop-motion, brace yourselves, more is on the way! | 2012-05-23 14:16:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
Good stuff! So how long did that take you? I had a mess about in Eye Create with a Sackboy doll in the hope of coming up with a Brothers Quay-esque masterpiece, but soon realised I have nowhere near the kind of patience needed. | 2012-05-23 14:37:00 Author: Kiminski Posts: 545 |
Took about three days, but that's not very accurate, seeing that we were often messing with eachother or playing paper football. xD We also got the results, just like we tought, we got the best video and high marks. | 2012-05-23 14:44:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
Pretty cool. Pretty decent framerate too. Must have taken a long time to get it right. I once made the christmas story in Lego stopmotion. We had a week and barely managed to get it done. For your video I suggest you get a tripod and bolt it down (tape works wonders too). Close all curtains and use desklamps to light the scene. The flickering in the video is because of changing lighting (daylight) which takes away your motion a little. My video is here if you are interested (sucky audio and in dutch though): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7wtCz-kbAQ | 2012-05-24 11:10:00 Author: Unknown User |
Just check my youtube, WoutStopmotion. I have some OK stopmotions, the newer ones are in HD, the older ones aren't. I'd recommend The Chase, HD Test, Fishbot, The Brony Killer, After The Party and Robo-Hobo. | 2012-05-24 11:44:00 Author: Woutery Posts: 793 |

Lol, I'm sure they're great. It was your shameless advertising I was referring to. Well i just thought that my older ones where quite crappy, so i'd rather want people to see the newer ones (and better ones). | 2012-05-24 19:20:00 Author: Woutery Posts: 793 |
I made a new one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqq2GKeElP0 | 2012-06-24 11:05:00 Author: Woutery Posts: 793 |

And why does that need to be in MY thread? Go make your own one NAO! :kz: Well this is a topic for brickfilms, right? I posted here before? | 2012-06-24 17:11:00 Author: Woutery Posts: 793 |
No this is the topic for the brickfilms I will make with my friends. | 2012-06-24 20:16:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
Uhh... right. It wouldn't really have any use to make a new topic since this one is there. | 2012-06-24 21:06:00 Author: Woutery Posts: 793 |
This. Is. No. General. Brickfilm. Thread. This. Is. Thread. About. My. Brickfilms. I don't go posting my drawings in Dizzy's art thread do I? | 2012-06-24 21:10:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
This. Is. No. General. Brickfilm. Thread. This. Is. Thread. About. My. Brickfilms. I don't go posting my drawings in Dizzy's art thread do I? It's time to put on your big boy pants and be a bit more mature and diplomatic. This isn't the schoolyard, there are people here of all ages and walks of life. Most forums don't tolerate multiple threads on the exact same subject and no name in the title of the thread designates exclusivity. I imagine even if Wouter did make another thread the mods would have just merged them.
