The Paint Wars, Part I - Humble Beginnings

Archive: 3 posts

Hey, I need some feedback for my level. It's very short, so it shouldn't take much time to complete, but it took forever to think of. It's missing some visual flair, and I'm looking for some suggestions on how to spice it up a little bit for Part 2. If you haven't noticed, the name of the level is "The Paint Wars, Part I - Humble Beginnings". Thanks in advance.2009-01-04 02:31:00

Alright, I strongly recommend using some materials other than wood. There are plenty of objects to support a battlefield theme because of the collector's area in the story mode. I would use barbed wire as obstacles, something similar to trenches for cover ect. I believe upon switching to materials other than wood you will find the look picks up a lot of zest. I also recommend putting music in the level. Maybe adding a background of your own or moving the level to a position that looks more natural with the background. The level is incredibly short, as an introduction to the series short might be alright but if the rest of your levels are that short then the only tag they are going to get is "short."2009-01-04 05:38:00

Returning the favour for playing my level

The Paint Wars, Part I - Humble Beginnings

+It was a nice level to start, everything functioned well

-It looked basic, but its your first attempt
-Very short

It was a solid enough first attempt, like I said everything functioned, there was nothing that failed to work or was impassible. I'd put a bit more effort into the looks on part 2 however.

All in all you could it see it was a first attempt and a way to learn your way around create mode, it was short so theres very little to put here!

*** and a "short" tag left in game
