Alternative Ending HELP!

I am want to finish my level i have been creating but i want it to be so if you have aced my level you go to the normal finish scoreboard. However if your sackboy/girl dies then you go to another scoreboard. How can i do this? Im fairly competent with logic but my head is fried right now!2012-05-08 13:39:00

um... you could give them a score at the start. If they die the score will lower, so then set 2 scoe sensors at the end... one with the original score (aced) and an inverted one (or a not gate) which will activate the death one.2012-05-08 13:42:00

I would say the easiest way to do this, without the use of a Sackbot, would be to place all your Checkpoints out of the players reach, and activate them using Player Sensors.
On a Checkpoint, place a Microchip, and inside, a Player Sensor and a Tag.
The Player Sensor on the Checkpoint must not be reachable without the player needing to spawn.

Then copy that Microchip onto every other Checkpoint. (Except the Entrance.)
And then have a Tag Sensor with 5000 Max Radius pick up that Tag. Wire that into a Counter which only counts up to 1. If that Counter is filled, that means the player has died at least once.

Remember, all your Checkpoints would need to be located somewhere the player couldn't reach. So, locate them high up, or place them below the respawn area, on the middle or rear layer, and have a Bounce Pad launch the player up and onto the play area, again.

Ok so what about if i have only have the main entrance checkpoint in the level? and a checkpoint above the bad ending scoreboard. how can i get that to activate when the player dies?2012-05-08 14:17:00

If you wanted it to be more like a Survival with two Scoreboards, I'd do it a bit differently.

First off, in exactly the same way as Checkpoints, Scoreboards can have wires put into them, to activate them from afar. (An 'Activated' Scoreboard doesn't work like a Game Ender, but instead it just makes the player(s) spawn there if they don't activate another Checkpoint first.)

I'd just activate the 'Bad' Scoreboard from the beginning, and if the players manage to complete the level, activate the 'Good' Scoreboard instead.

EDIT:
Got it working! i used a player sensor attached to the death scoreboard and inverted the sensor and put the sensor radius to 5000. Simples!
