I love my JEEP so much that I decided to make it in LBP! I have a Yellow and Black 1976 JEEP CJ5 with an AMC 304 V8 small block, 35x12 mudders (tires), 5 inch lift kit and a rhino lined interior! And now it is in LBP!

The version I have made in LBP is as close to scale as I could get. I used my Chiltons manual to get the dimensions and looks as close to the real thing. In fact, just like it's real life counterpart, my LBP CJ5 has a tendency to roll over so you will have to watch out and try to keep this beast upright. I have created a fun little course to test this baby out on! If you happen to finish this grueling 4x4 course, you can race the course again, this time with a "supercharged" version of the CJ5.

It is almost as fun in LBP as it is in real life, so give it a go and let me know what you think. Thanks for your time!

I made a small change to the level. I had the supercharged version connected via a level link, but decided to change it to a key so that it played more like 2 levels instead of one. That way if you want to replay the second level, you don't have to start on the first level first.2012-05-08 17:22:00

jeep looks good man. the only issue I had was at the end when I exited the seat. It's an auto enter seat so when I tried to jump out, I was sucked back in. Felt like I was in Christine, "let go of me car!" I was able to scramble out the back though, so no biggie. Maybe a couple more tiny details on the jeep though. I wish I'd taken a pic because I don't rightly recall. Were there any dirt smudge or mud stickers on the Jeep? I don't remember. Anyway, the jeep was made very well indeed. good work.2012-05-09 13:24:00

Right on man! Thanks for taking the time to give it a spin and I 'm glad you liked it. Your feedback is very useful, I have been wavering on whether or not to make the DCS auto or manual and I think you just sold me on manual. Also, I like your idea of adding some mud stickers! I went ahead and added a pic of the JEEP also. Maybe people will be more inclined to give it a go if they actually see this beast!

Thanks again biorogue!

How can I change this thread to a F4F thread? If I remember right, a while ago I was able to switch another thread by just editing the post, but I can't seem to figure it out now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!2012-05-10 16:54:00

Changed to F4F.

So you know... to change to F4F go to your first post, edit, advanced.
There is an option there to choose F4F or not.

I added some fuzzy dice to the rearveiw mirror, I hope that might entice more to try this thing out! 2012-05-12 17:03:00

Hey man! Tryed this level out today and had quite a blast, powering the beast to the finish line. I thought the Jeep itself was very well mate. It took a few restarts because of the Jeep nose diving, but I got to the finish in the end and enjoyed the ride. The track itself wasnt to bad, loved the part where you jumped off and landed in what reminded me of bubbles from an Aero choclate bar. All in all mate it was good challenge and something bit different to what Ive played before. In the words of The Fast Show....Gripped, Sorted..Lets Off Road!2012-05-13 20:45:00

Played it last night and loved it. There were no issues that I found, but I did flip the Jeep once. I was hot-rodding. I got thinking that this level reminded me of Excite-bike on Nintendo except it did not have a mud pit. Then on the way home today I remembered that Excite-bike did have mud pits. This is way better and I had loads of fun playing it. Well worth the trip to his planet.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my level. The irony is that I love me some ExciteBike and was influenced by that game very much so when making this level. Thanks again NOT_SCOT and I will be sure to check out you F4F level!
