Christopher Eccleston was very good, and I was really sceptical about David Tennant, but DT was by far the best.. The new guy looks pretty weird lol >.>

I really didn't think Tennant could top Eccleston, and he went and pulled an absolute stormer. Honestly though, I don't know much about Matt Smith, and while he will obviously have to have some things that will distinguish him from DT, I can REALLY see the 11th Doctor being the more like the 10th than any other regeneration has been similar to a previous incarnation (if you can get your head around the way I've worded that sentance!) DT has been SO popular with the public at large that making the 11th so different to the 10th will be a ratings disaster, as a lot of those who are newer Who fans are likely to stop watching (I believe). That said, I hope he does well.

Yes they do, but it's a fair bit behind IIRC. Torchwood rocks. Just watching throught the season 1 DVD now.

Do they show Doctor Who in the US? I suppose almost everyone who posted in this thread is from the UK actually. Yeah, it's very lowline prominence in the States. Really, pretty close to being not there. And ironically, when I first saw the title and before I clicked on it, my thought was, "Doctor who?" And then a second and a half after I clicked on it, "Oh, wait. Yeah, that's right."

I think there's a pretty big following of Doctor Who and Torchwood in the US, but a lot of people watch via torrents so they can stay current. From reading all the boards, and from watching my wife lol, the fans of these shows are indeed Fanatical!

They're gona have a twist like "he has absorbed all the lifes of the dead time lords" so it turns infinite. I dunno if I like the choice, sure he has the personality.. but he's like 10 years too young imo.
