Creator's Toolkit v7.1 translated into Spanish

Archive: 7 posts

I've already translated the creator's toolkit v7.1 into Spanish, and published the level that shows it and gives it. It's kinda similar to the old toolkit's original level, but with a different look.

http://i4.lbp.me/img/ft/d84087156e0a09cf9e799adbf269f64cbd90fd95.jpg

I translated all the instructions, parts of the chips that I considered that it was necessary to translate (specially pivottt's Health Meters and robbit10's Timer Based Health Meter, this ones required to translate all the inputs and outputs, the sub-chips and the notes inside.), and the chips "created by...". But, in the version 7.1, most of the chips didn't have a "Created by..." chip, so I added a "Created by..." chip to all the tools. I took the name of the original creators by different ways, the ones it was possible, I took the creator's name from the inside of the tool itself. Others, I took the names from the v6.9r, and, the ones that I couldn't find the name of the creator by this means, I captured them to see the name in "Originally Created by...".

The translation is PERFECT, I'm sure. But I didn't made the toolkit, I just translated it. That's why I didn't dare to publish it without knowing if the team agreed first, and how did the team want me to do this.

This is the Level Showcase thread: Creator's Toolkit v7.1 en ESPA?OL-Kit de Herramientas para Crear (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=70247-Creator-s-Toolkit-v7-1-en-ESPA%D1OL-Kit-de-Herramientas-para-Crear&p=1002552#post1002552)

Thanks to all the people that contributed to build the Creator's Toolkit and their tools. I could improve a lot my creating skills long time ago using the Toolkit. Now, I hope other people that speak Spanish, but not English, will also learn from it.

Neat!

I don't see any reason why anyone would have any issues with this. I'm not sure who is on the team, really... as I'm not a part of it. I would just do it. If anything, I'd expect them to thank you, rather than throw a fit.

I'm a member, you could say I'm both Chip Designer and Validator, but I haven't been with those guys for a long time. I do know, however, that the original toolkit instructions say that you may republish any other version of the toolkit as long as you made something new for it and give credits to the original creators, with perhaps a level link. If you want to share the kit without any mod, just give the link to the level. Now since you made a translation, I guess there is no problem for publishing it as long as you put a link to the original level, which is on Creatorstoolkit's planet. This psn account is used by robbit10, zeusintraining and I guess other people, so there won't be a single LBPCentral account for it.

I'm sure many people will be happy to be able to read it in their original language. I'm going, if I can find the time, to translate my health meter toolkit in French too, since that's my original language. I'm happy to see that there'll be a Spanish version too (although the one in the creator's toolkit is not up to date at all. I guess I should give them the improved chips when I publish the HMT6).

Hey! Robbit10 here, leader of the Creator's Toolkit project.

You can go ahead and publish it, as long as you link back to us by means of a level link. Please do feature it prominently in your level, don't just hide it in a little corner as an afterthought . Other than that, I am pretty flattered (and surprised) that you went through all the effort of translating the ginormous Creator's Toolkit into your own language. Kudos to you!

But are you going to keep the translated version updated? Because if we release new versions, you might have to (but you don't have to) update your translated version as well.. Are you really willing to go through that trouble? If so, go right ahead

@Pivottt Yeah, the CTK was pretty much dead after my effort to get it up and running again because of one simple thing: The entire CTK had become unsharable because some fools put stuff in it that was unsharable. (though perhaps I am also to blame? I did find out that Thee_Philosopher's stuff was unsharable..). The lock has finally been undone though, and things can start again. Also, please take a look at the "Dear Community" level we just posted on the CTK Earth.

I didn't know that... Sad. I lost interest in the toolkit after telling to people around 10 times that one of the chips in there had a double version, plus the double was broken (I'm talking about the >= chip, mine works fine) and nobody ever removed it. But then I was joined back by Zeus as soon as I came back to start HMT5, so I joined. Then I got skyrim and lost contact with the earth XD2012-05-07 05:40:00

See, that's why we're now looking for new Leaders. I have almost no time to work on the Toolkit and my graduation exam is after one week from now. Here's the link to that level I was talking about, pivottt: http://lbp.me/v/-56tm9/reviews

Skyrim. Heh, yeah . It's fun

Anyway, if you have some new logic for us, don't hestitate to publish it in your Vault. As you know: you simply publish it, and we come pick it up.

Since the Toolkit is now unlocked, things can be added again. And fortunately, we have two active leaders: TardisBill and ZeusInTraining. The rest of the leaders are doing nothing at all, why are they even leaders? I say they have to be demoted, and replaced with motivated leaders who can get the team back on track.
The Validator problem is solved, we have enough validators now but they too are now inactive because the Leaders were not doing anything (because of the locked toolkit). Basically the same problem you were running into
Therefore, once good Leaders get added to the team, and the Validators see what happens and start working again, the Team will (hopefully) be alive again
