Long ago? on a creepy night, Doctor Sackenstein's creation was able to come to life... With your help?

Just the normal night of an alchemist's assistance...
Rob a grave, fly around with a jetpack, and the such?

Hint: drag head to doctor.

I don't know what changes you made in the update (maybe that's because I saw the updated version when first time playing Sackenstein) but I found my way to get to the end of the level. I had to grab the white rotating circle and jump for that arm over Sackenstein.
BTW I thought that Sackenstein (or Frankenstein) was the dead one, not the doctor...
Anywho I'll leave full feedback soon.

Your review: Great usage and combination of stickers to creat more of a picture, creative material usage to make the whole level seem appropriately creepy. Good looking character models and even ammount of difficulty and easiness to move you along. By the time you finish, you already want more.

The Goods:
The design was good. I liked the London streets and the forest but I think the part with the Witch was the best you made. The intro looked pretty cool. There were a lot of stickers on the background, together with the wind sounds, they gave the level the right atmosphere. For example the lights around the lamps, the dark clouds or trees. The music also fits the level pretty well. Some places were well corner edited.

The Bads:
There was far too much backtracking. Before I went for the "Elixer of Life" there was a guy that told me that I cannot enter without a light. He said that there is one near the mad Doctors castle. I was like: lol you kiddin right?! Also I couldn't see the "giant green monster" you were talking about. You misspelled the word creepy at the beginning. Some of the cameras didn't fit exactly as they should.

Overall: This level is a good start for the series and I can't wait to see part 2.

Thanks a ton schark. I am glad you enjoyed it...

Backtracking made it an appropriate RPG. I really wanted to make a long RPG. And an RPG can't be considered an RPG without backtracking. POTTS 1 was an RPG with backtracking. But most people don't like backtracking. That's why people don't care for RPG and prefer platforming...
As for the "giant green monster", ask nys about it, while I update my Original Post...
Sorry for misspelling "creApy" and "feAver". I just like using "A". LOL...
And i need to improve on cameras. But the one that made you fall into a gas pit in the intro was made on purpose. Practical joke. I saw it and didn't want to change it ...

Part 2 coming soon...

No, that's not exactly how RPG levels work. I agree it always needs some backtracking but not too much. It makes the level boring if you don't keep it with fresh gameplay or dialogue. You could add some side quests like searching something in the forest or even a new character.

Review: Part ONE:

Pretty nice starting That character <.< Jeees he was ugly... but I had to follow him ;~;

The elevator ... .___. Really hard to get on it... when I pass it I was like Mr.Bison! Yes! YEEES!

And and the Elixir of Life .__. that wasn't hard to get...

And yeah It was pretty boring to walk there and come back, walk back there,

"forgot" something and so on... I gave 4 star

PART 2 intro: (: Yeah! I like to assist Dr.Sackenstein BUT NUUUH D'; HE IS DED! ;~;

Gave :star::star::star::star: x3

Heya, unc92sax! Decided to check out this LittleBig Level series on Sackenstein last week, both Part 1 and 2. Before playing the recommended Part 2, I thought ahead and had a playthrough of Part 1 before moving on to the second part. It's been a week though, sorry to keep you on the edge of your seat with waiting on some feedback. So, now that I'm back at the college and tinkering with their computers again, time to do some real feedbacking!

When I first played the level, I went in with an "expect both the expected and the unexpected, but have fun too" state of mind on the noggin. Of course there would be a little bit of morbidity/gruesomeness here and there, and there was, but nothing overdoing. Your use of stickers to work up an eerie atmosphere played out well, especially in the "crypts and catacombs" area. There were plenty of other story-building elements that fit in well, like those alchemy books on Dr. Sackenstein's shelf and a welcome appearance of Igor, that hunchbacked assistant of his.

As for character design, and in comparison to Part 2, the Doctor himself looked a bit under-developed at this stage. While there was -some- detail put into him, the head was a slightly confusing piece to look at. It's understandable though, and gladly you made him look a lot more formed-out in Part 2. The witch (odd bunch, those witches are..) had the usual wickedness to her, though it's been a short while since I've played the level and can't seem to remember every detail of her face.. Then again, why would a person want to? XD ... Igor was probably one of the most fleshed-out characters, design-wise. Hunchbacked and all, he even had fangs as an added bonus! As for the Sackenstein Monster, his appearance was scary enough with that sticker in place, a truly gruesome head that a Sackperson actually had to haul out of the crypt.. *shivers* ... Ah, but that's why I played through the levels as a Jack-Series robot from the Tekken games. Kind of ironic, seeing as how Jack (a rather brutish military-created fighting robot) has a few lighter-side hints at the Frankenstein concept in it's history (once a brutal killing machine, now a scientist's best friend.. I might make a costume level with how to make that and other characters in LBP someday.. or an LBPC topic at least!)

Object design was well done, plenty of references to the architecture of the time. There were a few obstacles that took a few tries to figure out, the bat-infested winched elevator being a tough one to navigate though. It swayed a bit sometimes, but with enough practice that can be used to one's advantage. Dr. Sackenstein must have had a trick up his lab coat's sleeve when designing that one hallway, requiring a lot of good timing practice to make it to the other side without Sackfolk becoming their own pancake-pressed statistic. The spinning wheel in the crypt must really be what you intended for nabbing that arm, as no other way is made apparent. It's doable though, with enough trial-and-error. That witch's brew "boss fight" at the furthest right of the level looked pretty good, though the mechanics of it were easy to understand with enough patience. And of course, who couldn't forget actually hauling that creepy cranium through those catacombs, gruesome work indeed!

Now on to story. It was told rather well, the key elements of the early part of the story being played out with some platforming in mind. Didn't mind the backtracking, as I kind of enjoy a good walkabout through a well-detailed level. The speeches were okay, though I can't help but wonder if all the punctuations and capitalization were there. In comparison to Part 2, this one came off as a little paler in text, but both do a good night's work of telling the tale of that crazy Doctor and his obsession with reanimating the undead, no rest for pieces of course.

Overall, it's really worth a fiver, and that's what I've given it. If it's compared to the later one, that one would get a 5 and this one a 4.75 stars, not in a way that's inferior but rather a sign of improvement over the first one. It's a success, and more importantly.. IIIIT'S AAAALIIIIVE!!

Great show, really enjoyed it! I'll leave some feedback for Part 2 in a little while, if not later today then maybe next month. Oh, no, don't panic! Next week IS next month, so hopefully sometime next week, provided I haven't already done so today. Keep an eye out for it, and keep having fun by any means!

Also, thanks again for the feedback on my level! Someday might see me as a pro, it could happen! Thanks!

Still those giant reviews from goombario. I feel ashamed of the review I left you, compared to yours. LOL.

I really appreciate you taking the time to review. It really helps to get a whole overview on the level. I am glad you found it GRUESOME. I intended it to be when I came up with the series. Totodiel was the creator of Dr. Sackenstein and the witch(it was a great character improvement from totodiel). I made Igor. I actually had a couple requests for Igor. Because it was that good. I don't mean to brag. But I am very proud of my Igor. I actually hate Part 1. Because Part 2 just put it to shame.

Looking foward to the review on part 2.

This level was awesome, the artwork was amazing it looked really dark which fit the theme well, when i started i was like wow this level looks awesome. The character design was good too. I had a little trouble at the bat part but thats mostly cause i suck at games most of the time. Anyways the castle was pretty cool too. When I got to the part where i had to get in the grave, i'd grab every where but nothing would happen, i eventually fell in and landed in this creepy cave area. Anyways the gameplay was pretty fun, and I don't know why everyone complained about the backtracking. Maybe i didn't mind it cause i'm used to real rpg videogames and thier backtracking but all in all i like he level, gave it 5 stars and a heart.

Ps it says f4f but i don't have a level published yet but could you check out Little Big Special Ops Part , in the psp ideas/project section that would be nice

I can't take credit for that, you did that all by yourself. As I told you the automated infraction system takes over after so many warnings and infractions.

Thanks for the review. Sorry, but I am no longer working on Terminator. So be looking foward to the Apocalyptic Series instead. Which is way more epic!!!

It is a shame that people just don't listen to warnings and infractions. LOL. I've been through my double post stage too. Until I got an infraction.
