Well, my art has been improving

Archive: 7 posts

Sooooo a couple a months ago i got into drawing my characters from a project i've been working on in LBP2. This was an old drawing i made back when i was still a beginner.

But, after a couple of months of having no ps3 and taking art class in school, I had a chance to keep practicing. So comparing my art from then and now, I can say, I really improved. So here's a little banner that im still working on for my project in lbp2,Parallaxis. This is all the male main characters in the project (and yes I am aware that they slowly start to float off the ground)

I also made some comic strips with the characters, might make one every 2-3 days and post them

On a side note here's one of my many art projects that got an A on. The assignment was to create a commemorative stamp on something. I decided to commemorate Lauren Faust and MLP.

If you bring your knees up under your chin you can see that your upper leg is equal to the length of your torso. The same is true of your lower leg. Your legs are really long.

Your foot should be about as long as your forearm. It sounds too big but test it out.

Perhaps you're drawing people how you see them at eye-level, so you've foreshortened the legs and made the feet small. What do you think?

These proportions sound about right. You also might want to note your hand is about as big as your face. Some of your hands are kinda small

Those are pretty cool! I'd say you've improved. If I were you, I'd work on putting some action and personality in my subjects, they look a little stiff and emotionless to me. Like the others said, just a little work on proportions and you're on your way. It also wouldn't hurt to make the lines darker before you scan. 2012-04-27 18:19:00

If you're doing realistic ones, try getting a friend to model for you. They're not really complex since they resemble the male body a lot, minus a few curves and facial features.

If you're doing anime, however, GIVE THEM HUGE CHESTS.
