Problem with movers

Archive: 4 posts

Hi; I was working on making a top down tank (for the next track in my level Sackro Machines V3) but for some reason the reverse function isn't working. I've set the reverse mover to -10 up down speed and it is wired up properly but nothing happens. I even have the microchip open in create mode and I can see the 'circuit' is complete but still it is unresponsive. I've even copied the mover, deleted the original, and put it in again and still nothing. Do any of you fine folks have any suggestions?

Also; originally the tank turrets were going to be stationary like in the micro machines console games, but I've decided that I want them to move. I'm guessing to do this I'd need to wire up (for example) the right anolog stiick on a controlinator to an analog controller attached to a bolted turret. As the PS3 is currently unavalable (brother and dad playing Deathspank) I'd just like some clarification so I can get right on it when I go back to creating.

Cheers guys, any help is most welcome.

Is it possible that you are combining the movement of two movers simultaneously? You cannot for instance combine a follower and a basic mover and expect both movements to be honored. Or two basic movers going in different directions.

Also, set the movers to local space, but I am sure you already have.

I don't think it's simaltaniously, I have the X button wired to the forward +20 mover and the square button to the reverse -10 mover.

I think they are set to local space; I'll check when I get back to the game.

BTW; have you played the Sackro Machines V3 level yet? It's so far got seven finished tracks. I'm wodnering why it hardly has any views so far.

Thanks for the help.

As a guess the deceleration setting on the two movers is too high. Even when there's no signal being sent to a mover the deceleration effect still applies to it and other movers on the object.2012-04-24 21:45:00
