Can't load my profile

Archive: 9 posts

I am unable to load my LBP profile at all. Every time I start the game it puts me into the tutorial. When I attempted to take my backup from my computer and start that one, all the game would do was write over it with the new save and deleting basically the entire folder. I really want to get my old story mode and My Moon levels back, but I can't seem to figure out the problem with this. Thanks for any help.2012-04-24 03:16:00

Hello most active user. C:

What version of LBP PSP do you use? EU or US?
This happens (probably) because your savedata folders name doesn't fit the version of the game.

If you're using the US version the name should be: UCUS98744INSTALL and UCUS98744PROFILE
For the EU version use: UCES01264INSTALL and UCES01264PROFILE

Just rename the folders and see if it works.

Yep I already had them named correctly since my game is the US version. The thing I find odd is that do I need my INSTALLDATA folder too? I only ever backed up my Profile folder. Either way, it is still overwriting the old save .

EDIT: I think the problem may have been due to the save and install files being from a newer update than my PSP game, and since I don't have the original installdata files, it keeps writing over them. I still dont know the solution if this is even the actual problem.

Did you update the game into 2.05 or what? If you did, then the old savedata won't work. You have to make a new one (or just download a 100% savedata from gamefaqs). After that in order to keep your levels, just copy them from the old profile to the new one (install FullMoon before doing this). It should work then.2012-04-25 16:12:00

I tried the savedata before updating to 2.05 and it didn't work, then I tried after updating and it still didn't work.

Then make a new one and copy the levels over. 2012-04-26 15:49:00

Then make a new one and copy the levels over.

Alright, that sounds like it would work. Thanks for the help!

EDIT: Okay, so it appears that ANY modification I make to the save folder causes it to overwrite that whole folder. Even downloading a 100% save off of gamefaqs it still replaced it as soon as I started up the game.

I've got the feeling this is something simple but I have no clue...

Did you copy only the levels or the whole save?

The reason this could of happened is because:

1. You turned your PsP of during a loading sate or when the loading sign to the bottem left o the screen came up.
2. You have not updated to a latest version.
3. Hard drive Problem, Take it to shop.

Hope this helped
