Well, if you look at the level, while having a great theme and design, was very basic in gameplay. It's not very innovative and required very little logic. Most of it was run, jump and swing with a very basic theme.

Now, Luos is very talented, and so its probably not fair to judge his 24 hour level and expect others could do the same in 24 hours.

But, in general, to create a quick level, keep the theme basic (so fewer materials and decs are required), and the gameplay simple.

In adding to what cymbol said, being familiar with the tools and logic that lbp offers, and having a very clear idea of how your level will be helps speed things along, if you sit in create mode for hours because you don't have any ideas or concept of what you're making, it will take longer. I myself like to draw out my level and write ideas down before creating, I myself built a lvl within 24 hours and it was all due to pre-planning and knowing EXACTLY what my level was going to be like.2012-04-24 00:40:00

Adding on to damaz10's add on to CYMBOL .. .. When you say "24 hours" I'm pretty sure it means the total amount of time you spent in create mode = 24 hours. So they aren't making the entire level in 1 day, that's insane. So, if you only play LBP 1 hour a day, every day. It will take you almost a full month to finish a 24 hour create level. (24 days to be exact).2012-04-24 01:32:00

1: when you create a level make it out of a simple material like 'cardboard'

2: don't bother with decorations just yet, work on the structure and get it working first

3: don't stick anything at all; use antigrav instead.

4: work on each section separately, this way you can move on to another idea if you get stuck.

5: make notes regularly and draw it our first if it helps

6: put an antigrav on anything that moves and doesn't require a trigger (this saves a lot of bother sometimes)

7: when it's finished, test run it in it's basic form first (it's easier to find problems when your eye isn't distracted by detail or lighting)

8: add everything else like lighting, sound effects, music, stickers, deco etc... and SAVE!

9: done! PUBLISH!

10: i'll guarantee that you won't receive any boos

just a joke. when you finally publish a level you'll know what i mean. you used to be able to 'yay' a level or 'boo' a level, now you can only abstain or 'yay'.

hope those tips helped
