Earthworm Jim Costume/Level Kit

Archive: 2 posts

This could be awesome!

For those of you who don't know, Earthworm Jim was a Platforming legend in the mid-1990s, but in his 3rd game(Earthworm Jim 3D) and a spinoff(Earthworm Jim: Menace 2 the Galaxy), the original team was pulled from the team, so they sucked, and the franchise died. More recently, there was a HD Remake, and the original Creator(Doug Tennapel) signed a deal to make EWJ4, along side an Earthworm Jim Movie and a TV Series back in 2008. Earthworm Jim was a normal Earthworm who had a Super Suit fall on him, which mutated him, causing him to gain inteligence. In his Super Suit, he has a Plasma Blaster, a Pocket Rocket(Which allows him to fly away at the end of levels), and his own Worm Body, which he can use as a Whip, or he can use it to swing off hooks, and things like that. The first game was AWESOME(Especially if you had the Mega CD/Sega CD/Windows 98 Special Edition(s)!), the second game was not quite as good as the first, but still AWESOME, the third game sucked, the spinoff sucked, and the HD remake is like the first game, but has quite a few downsides. If you want to get into the Earthworm Jim Franchise, get the Win95 Special Edition for fairly cheap, it's compatible with all versions of windows from 95 upwards, although getting it to work on XP/Vista/7 requires a DLL and copying the files to your computer and running it from there(More info on getting that to work here (http://rocketworm.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=264&sid=26fbd8330391dfad0903000335bfa0eb)). Or, if you have a Maga CD/Sega CD for the Sega Mega Drive, get it for that. Make sure you read the Instructions in whichever version you get, as there's no Tutorial in-game. If you want to try before you buy, get the HD Remake Demo off PSN/XBLA(It includes the first level, which is the best -- and most true to the original -- part of the HD Remake), or if you don't have a PS3/Xbox 360, you can get the Demo for the DOS Version here (http://www.classicdosgames.com/files/games/shiny/ewj_1.zip), although the DOS Version is the worst main version of Earthworm Jim, as it's missing levels and the Demo puts you into one of the hardest and most annoying levels, which can only be legitimately skipped in the Special Editon via a secret area, and can't be skipped in any other version.

Earthworm Jim could make a great Costume pack or Level Kit!
A Costume Pack could contain:
Earthworm Jim (http://rocketworm.com/characters/earthworm-jim.html);
Princess What's-Her-Name (http://rocketworm.com/characters/princess-whats-her-name.html)(Yes, "What's-Her-Name" really is her last name);
Peter Puppy (http://rocketworm.com/characters/peter-puppy.html);
Evil/Angry Peter Puppy (http://rocketworm.com/characters/angry-peter-puppy.html);
Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-filled, Malformed, Slug-for-a-Butt (http://rocketworm.com/characters/queen-slug-for-a-butt.html);
Psy-Crow (http://rocketworm.com/characters/psy-crow.html);
Bob the Killer Goldfish (http://rocketworm.com/characters/bob.html)(He could be a Hand Object, or a Mask) and #2(Who could be the main part of the Costume, or his own costume);
Professor Monkey-For-A-Head (http://rocketworm.com/characters/professor-monkey-for-a-head.html);
and Evil the Cat (http://rocketworm.com/characters/evil-the-cat.html).

This would allow for a 5-costume Good Guys pack(Evil/Angry Peter Puppy is still a good guy, although he'll attack anyone who's near by, not just baddies), and a 5-costume Bad Guys pack(Although it would be nice to have a 10-costume pack for all of the Characters, being as just having half the costumes would be really annoying), then there could be a Level Kit, with all sorts of stuff, including Snott (http://rocketworm.com/characters/snott.html)(Earthworm Jim's friend who lives in Jim's Super Suit), but he could be a Decoration, because he wouldn't make a very good costume.

That's my opinion, what's yours?
