I'm working on a racing level in which you race in cars against 5 other cars. What can you use to sense which place you are coming in? And is there a way to put a number to the top right of the screen, that always stays there even when the car is moving around? Thanks!

Hi there, If you want to do like a finish line you could use a tag sensor set to 0 min. radius and a long enough max. radius to cover the track width. Set the tag sensor to delect a low angle (say 5 degrees), and turn the tag sensor so the radius line is across the track. as a car with an attached tag crosses this line it activates the tag sensor. This in turn can go to a score giver or whatever. For more cars, just put different tags on the nose of each one and a corrosponding tag sendor covering the same line. For the display in the top corner- make a thin layer of either holo or sticker panel material large enough to cover the entire screen (a little bigger than the screen works best to avoid seeing the edges) place in the center of this a follower set to track the players car by tag and a camera set to track the player. (This all works best if you put a chip on the center and the logic on the chip) as it keeps everything in the very centre). in the top corner (although come in a little as you dont wanr to be right in the corner) place your score etc. now tweak the camera so that the score and screen display in the right position. Thats bacially it. the only problem if your doing a race game is that if your car is going too fast the follower may glitch a little, if your car is going too fast, as its trying to keep up. so you may need to adjust asccordigly. hope that helps the
