Sackbot's soul is living on?

Ok, not quite what I put as the title, but it grabbed your attention, no? http://i3.lbp.me/img/ft/c231db61dd49614cfc79e3da11a0493dcb31165c.jpg Firstly, say hello to Carl?s. He's quite a nice fellow. The problem is, I've set up a checkpoint system so that if Carl?s dies, he respawns. This is done with an AND gate, which checks for two things. 1, that the checkpoint is enabled. This works fine. Secondly is that Carl?s doesn't exist. This is done by having an inverted Tag Sensor search for a yellow tag named 'Carl?s', of which Carl?s possesses, as you can see. This is where the problem lies. You see, when Carl?s is deleted, and therefore the tag is destroyed, the sensor should detect this and output an 'On' signal. It doesn't. No, instead the sensor decides the tag is still there (inverting it causes it to send an 'On' signal), and poor old Carl?s shuffles off the mortal coil permanently. Carl?s and myself are really rather upset about this, does anyone have any idea what's happening? | 2012-04-17 21:54:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |
A. if you're controlling him via a controllinator following the bot... you will need to make the follower default to the checkpoint. B. Make sure you don't have multiple copies of "Carlos" or the tag in the level | 2012-04-17 22:09:00 Author: ForgottenEnigma Posts: 1414 |
A. if you're controlling him via a controllinator following the bot... you will need to make the follower default to the checkpoint. No, he follows the player and the player controls him with a jetpack. B. Make sure you don't have multiple copies of "Carlos" or the tag in the level There is another copy of Carl?s, but his tag is named "Carl?s1" to avoid confusion. I don't believe there are any but I'll give it another look. | 2012-04-17 22:26:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |
