Welcome one and all to the latest Episode of the Spotlight. Easter may have come and gone but we have a smattering of Easter themed levels for those chocoholics wanting to keep the memories alive. Other than that the theme is definitely one of awesome platforming goodness ? there are some truly outstanding levels this week which will keep lovers of platforming very happy. The nods put up another strong showing too with a whole slew of wonderful levels from gruesome pinball to fantastic football and with music, Manga style drama and Western shoot-outs also thrown into the mix. What are you waiting for, get playing!

As usual, Hubbie (http://lbp.me/u/LBPCentralHub) will be publishing the Spotlight Hub for Episode 83 tomorrow at some point - probably after snack time...

PS3 Spotlight

http://i8.lbp.me/img/bl/f58988ba3890b5431e4a0a4ff456d321064cc5eb.pngThe deep blue vaultKarrades The deep blue vault is a dangerous place, which is hard to master. The circumstance that this is almost no ground under the feet, complicates it even more. Will you master it, or will you fail? Difficulty: hard; recommendet players: 1

Karrades is not kidding when he says the Deep Blue Vault is difficult to master but you?ll have a lot of fun trying. The platforming is clever, innovative and will keep you on your toes...actually scrub that. As there?s no floor in this vault you are very much kept off your toes, swinging and bouncing your way through the ultra-stylish blue setting. The deep blue colour scheme is as cool as the platforming and together they make one very classy package. In this level it's safe to assume everything is deadly except for the air surrounding grapple points and the tops of bounce pads... when they're not electrified! Elegant, stylish and with a healthy dose of challenge, this level deserves a lot more attention. It may be hard but with a bit of patience it can be passed and the innovative gameplay and clever design make it fun as well as tough!

http://i4.lbp.me/img/bl/3b4a3864046844bbecf41d5d9d22be72599dc6fa.pngOrbita l RunnerMissi_Cat A modern level designed around a light and uplifting feeling, which was inspired by the wonderful music from AER0BLUE. Best played in single player mode. Much thanks to Ingenieus, HaloNova, Furio86, Darkimplosion, Matobait and CaabySack for their help.

Orbital Runner is definitely an uplifting level. The tune that plays throughout combined with the lights and colours set a calm and cheery tone. The game play flows with the music making for a pleasant experience. The visual also contains many interesting effects with a somewhat abstract style. A relaxing platformer you can just soak up.Filled with gorgeous neon designs, this level is a work of art. As you move through the level glowing geometric shapes, filigree patterns and curlicues are a delight to the eye. You are floating through a dream world of stylised beauty and spectacular lines. The gameplay is fun and varied and the music matches the level perfectly. Missi_Cat says she wanted to create a level with a light and uplifting feeling ? well, she succeeded wonderfully.

http://i1.lbp.me/img/bl/68127eac11dd69d1b42378a7cbf148f9afd69702.pngiZablu èpate59 A racer/platformer. Quite blue one indeed. Only one player is able to play at once, I recommend coming here alone anyways because it might be laggy at some points. This level does not make any sense. Thanks to YELLOWda for decorating, coolman100 for motivation & Freezz-ix for testing. I made this just because I enjoied creating it.

Woah, this level FUN! It's one long adrenalin rush - a kind of Tower of Whoop in a cave complex, only better! The whole thing is beautifully designed, fast paced and thrilling as you try and chase down those bubble combos and avoid by the skin of your teeth the pitfalls and hazards in your path. With its exhilarating, fluid gameplay and cool blue-toned visuals this level will have you coming back again and again to improve your score.
iZablu? is one of the fastest, most ferocious levels I've ever played. From the start you're blasted into a bubble chain which can be held for the entire level, or so I believe... It's not easy keeping the chain going however, there's fire and spikes at many turns pressing the R1 button just in time is essential. Very fun and exhilarating, one you will have to play many times if you're going after the longest bubble chain you can get.

http://i4.lbp.me/img/bl/0e461a153f623ed5953de7f0f20084cb1ae021ce.pngEaster Egg Farm (1 player)deadmn Run through the old barn in the back of the field, make sure to avoid the deadly spikes on your way! Wonderful music by Stunkel

Land your pod in the wonderful atmosphere of the loony "Egg farm", and you wont be dissapointed! The level is filled with excellent bubble combos, fun platforming and cutesy visuals, and includes full on fun for one player. Give it a try! You'll be missing out if you don't!A fun filled level with an Easter theme but one which packs a punch too despite the cute visuals. For this is a barn full of spikes and wonderful moving contraptions that will test your skills and timing. Who knew Easter Egg farming was such a hazardous business? The gameplay is inventive and flows beautifully, allowing you to string together some satisfying bubble combos. Add some fantastic music and you have a stand out level that?s a barrel of fun to play.

http://i3.lbp.me/img/bl/3a364927c0511f3db8361ea72539d51dbaf8807d.pngLBP Easter Egg Hunt V1brucethejam Can you find all 20 easter eggs in this fun filled world and get the high score? Best with 1 player (UPDATE: All bugs fixed and a race has been added)

Brucethejam brings us another festively themed level. This time Easter fun is on hand. With 20 Easter eggs dotted around the map there's plenty of scavenger hunting to be done. And it shall be done in style with fittingly bouncy action platforming taking you around the level. It's well worth looking for those eggs too as they're worth big points.Another storming fun-filled level from brucethejam. He takes on the Easter theme with typical gusto and has you hunting a whopping 20 eggs in a colourful, lively cartoon-style setting. It's against the clock too which only adds to the frantic fun. And to cap it all he throws in a bouncy bunny snaffling mini-game. This level is bound to put a smile on your face even with Easter now a distant memory.

http://i2.lbp.me/img/bl/3724d8fa80edc402db9195f43edc41e7eab6264a.pngTemple TrialsNuclearfish Whilst exploring the Ancient Temple of Reel Wa'Torz, sackboy takes a wrong turn and unfortunately gets trapped in a chamber full of rising spikes and shifting walls, which, obviously, still work perfectly fine even after thousands of years. How long can you survive??? [1 player recommended due to lag]

Enjoy a fantastically crafted, innovative, and beautiful survival level of which have become a rarity on the LBP servers. Each time you play the level is generated randomly so each experience is different and fun. This also adds almost infinite replayability. It may start out pretty easy, but don't let the beginning fool you! As the obstacles come and go faster and faster, so do your very limited lives! So be extremely careful! Give this one a play if you've been searching for a great survival challenge, or just if your looking for a great challenge! Nuclearfish has created another highly addictive survival game here. Your play area may only take up one screen but it's ever changing with trials manifesting from the back wall of the chamber. But it's not as simple as crossing to the other side, a layer of spikes will rise toward you from below with each passing moment. Over time the speed increases and getting from side to side will become a manic rush if you survive long enough. Thrilling, satisfying and beautiful to boot. This is a survival challenge that should not be missed.

http://id.lbp.me/img/bl/aed65da8f5650eb1a998fde01c28014627c36d13.pngButter fly garden (Platformer)yu-kamone This level can explore the beautiful woods in which butterfles live. Many skillful flowers are in bloom and it is a very beautiful place. (1~4player) このステージは蝶々たちの住む美しい森を散歩できます。色とりどりの花や綺麗な湖、是非写真を撮りながらお 楽しみください!

Flowers, butterflies and rainbows fill this level with a riot of colour and all round gorgeousness. One remarkable moment just follows the next as you ride across rainbows, become a butterfly and fly yourself and finally face an amazing butterfly boss. Yu-kamone combines wonderful artistry with impressive logic/gameplay skills and they are all demonstrated superbly in this level. It's a tour de force of its kind.A very original and beautiful level. Lush scenery dots the landscape with rainbows and butterflies to help you along the way. So grab your water helmet and make some flowers grow, there is some hidden point bubbles to find!

http://i7.lbp.me/img/bl/407acdc591eca55d176cec368dd664154e9ba4ad.png Inside the magic box (2P ONLY!!)SlurmMacKenzie A cooperation level designed to be played by 2 Sackpersons, online or local multiplayer is fine. It's a variation arround Portal gameplay, and the puzzle difficulty is easy to medium. Feel free to report bugs if you found any, and thanks for playing!

Grab your best friend and prepare for some dazzling performances as you enter the magicians magic box to find his missing bunny! Slurm flawlessly bonds co-operative gameplay, innovative mechanics, and quirky visuals together to make a level you won't soon forget.A wonderful co-op level from Slurm! Does the man never sleep? I?m not sure how he manages to create such great and original levels so quickly otherwise. This time he has set us a series of fun co-op puzzles to solve. It comes with a laugh out loud funny and charming theme, hats (w00t!) and the kind of brilliant gameplay concepts we have come to expect from Slurm. Just magical in every sense of the word.

http://i5.lbp.me/img/bl/225dd6656d0b551da52d3d1318092a29b62c2ffe.pngHouse of the Rising Sunse-mi92 A easy Platformer. Best 1 player but works also with more. Music made by AeroForce22.

House of the Rising Sun isnt your every day platformer, but much more. Se-mi92 has created an amazing 3D environment that will have you picking your jaw off the floor, trying to comprehend how he managed to make something so unique throughout the entire level. Not only is this level great looking, but it's also a nice length, and has some top notch gameplay! Give this platformer a go if your looking for something extremely unique and inspiring.
Se-mi92 has produced a really charming and intriguing level. The house of the title is a beautiful place: black and white tiled floors, wood panelling and the early sun streaming in through the windows. It's wonderfully detailed and decorated and the unusual slightly side-on camera angle gives it a unique feeling. It's a house with secrets too and your task is to solve the puzzles and find the golden apples cleverly concealed in the building or lurking tantalisingly in view. You find yourself returning until you?ve found each one and loving every minute of it as you do!

http://i2.lbp.me/img/bl/1d2ab208312d0b09b04faf630684a09b007e7fcb.pngRed wayKhodex A platform level with eletricity everywhere. Follow the red way and find the exit. You can walk on the red walls but be careful ! Music and level by me.

Red way is a fun and fast platformer. Race to the end while looking out for all things red. In this case red means safety not danger and your life will depend upon nailing the targets you must reach. All the while the clock is ticking, taunting you. If you want to reach a top score here, death is not an option. Red for redemption! In this fast-paced platformer your only way to survive is to stick like glue to all things red: walls, ceiling and grabbable sponge. Put one foot wrong and electrocution awaits you. The gameplay is excellent and makes ingenious use of the attract-o-tweaker. The race mode is a great touch too and has you fairly rushing along the red path to get to the end. A blast to play and a great challenge for those who like to chase high scores.

http://ia.lbp.me/img/bl/baa0b4a442f97b1feaacc948fb8e2eb8c11f4b0e.pngGate to the future.koknsun imagination never finishes. this is gate to the future on my imagination. best for 1~2 players. 3~4 players? ah...but, I can't stop your LBP love....;p

Koknsun has created another magical platformer to relish in and enjoy the finer details. Gate to the future provides us with mystical moving platforms that rotate, interconnect and reveal paths for advancing. All the while spectacular light shows reveal the new designs. A truly artistic platformer which is well worth checking out.Koknsun has a unique and uniquely wonderfully style. His latest level surpasses anything he has done so far and is an absolute feast for the eyes. The visuals are gorgeous ? sumptuous and with rich jewel-like colours and the way he stage manages the amazing transformations, animations and effects is masterly. He is a true magician. The music is outstanding too and really adds to the whole experience. An outstanding level and a work of art.

Thanks, Bio! You were very much missed. I always get a kick out of reading your enthusiastic and funny reviews. The quota of "wows" and "woahs" has definitely gone down in this Episode though I sneaked a small "woah" in there in your honour.

Thanks to all the creators featured for sharing your awesome talent with us. There are some wonderful levels in this Episode and some storming nods too.

A big thanks to the rest of the Crew for all the effort everyone has put in, especially when we were a man down this time. <3

Um, yeah... while they are featured in the Spotlight Thread they are not included in the hub due to being Mm picked/playcount, etc.

Some other stages were also not included for similar reasons.

In regards to the Magic Box; it is featured in the LBN hub this week so it's not in the LBPC Hub... as always feedback is welcome, so let the crew know your thoughts

Thanks for answering me, it is because of new policy, but I like that they are in the spotlight thread, I thought that Mm picked/playcount would disappear from the hub and from the thread, it's a good compromise.2012-04-16 13:29:00

Maybe i have just been little dumb buuuttt.... i until just yesterday did not noticed that there were levels in a different area to the left of the hub.... but when i think about it now... the info in the opening did say something about there are levels by more well known creators are to the left... but as soon as i saw that spotlight object to the left i was thinking that it was a wall and until yesterday did not think of trying to walk under it... >.> ...Yohooho~ Guess i've been missing some levels oops. i think you guys should put a arrow sign or something pointing there is something over-there maybe. :I

also maaannn.... i was checking out the reviews on the hub. and a lot of annoying comments are there o.O ...like someguy saying the spotlight team should not include any overly popular levels or levels from the cool pages, and he was thinking that it's unfair for the LBPC hub to be on both the news and cool pages... Err wha? that makes no sense whatsoever. some of these people must not have any idea how spotlights work on here at all. some of them reviews were really annoying to read. :S *mew

All you need to do is post your level in the level showcase forum. All levels in there get played and the top ones get selected. It's also very useful to get feedback on your levels to help you improve them. Here's a link to the forum: http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?40-Level-Showcase
