I'm getting really sick of people posting hate comments on his profile. We get it that they hate him, but they must stop. I post there to tell the haters to stop fighting, but they won't listen. I tried to get Spaff or StevenI to moderate all these hate comments, but they were too busy. I know copying is wrong, but posting hate comments about it is worse.

I don't think it's fair either. I don't know how to explain it without making him sound bad, but he doesn't entirely deserve it. Let's just say he may or may not deserve a lot of things. I decided to just completely ignore it. He said himself that he didn't care about the hate comments, and he's never told anyone to stop. I think the best thing to do is just ignore it and all the copied levels. You don't contribute to him, you don't hurt him either.

Meh, I just ignore them. Trying to get them to stop really isn't going to help much, in fact it might make things worse by getting people to not like you just because you're "defending" him.

I just wish he would use the creation tools Mm so carefully worked on to their full extent, or at all I should say. It's such a waste.

If you continue to do something that many people have complained about, then I think you are obviously embracing the fact that you will only continue to be despised. Anyway, I don't gave a problem that he copies. I don't even have a problem that he gets a lot of plays on Cool Pages with copied levels. The issue I have is the constant spamming of multiple levels. I find it sad when I see a serious creator finally get on Cool Pages, but can only get to the 2nd page because one person has 10 levels on page one. However, I don't blame these people for cheating. I place the responsibility squarely on MM's shoulders. Since LBP 1 people have been asking for them to stop allowing spammers. They sit back and let LBP 1 get destroyed by spammers. To this day LBP 1 is nothing but 3-4 people filling the first few pages. Many people, including myself have asked them to incorporate a system that does not allow players to have more than 2 levels in the top 10 pages at the same time. Problem solved. I'm very frustrated that MM has allowed this to continue. And even more frustrated that they allowed what destroyed the community in LBP 1, to carry over into LBP 2. I honestly have a hard time forgiving them for doing nothing as a hand full of people spammed LBP 1 to death. And today - there focus is getting rid of boos instead getting rid of cheating methods that people have been asking to be fixed for years. Incredible and sad. Anyway, Latin knows he is gaming the system, and obviously doesn't care, much like the spammers before him who spammed til everyone finally left. Don't fool yourselves into thinking he doesn't enjoy the hate. He enjoys attention, period. He likes people arguing over him. And enjoys the controversy. There is no other reason to spend countless hours, days, weeks and months continuing with this. I'd say its about as pointless defending him as it is arguing with him. Because at the end of the day, its not his fault. No matter what you think of his tactics, he is only using an exploit that MM allows. If MM doesn't care enough to fix it after all these years - then why should the spammers feel guilty? It's like being mad at someone who speeds all the time. They get to 100mph and run red lights and don't get pulled over. Then someone points out that you could do it too, and you argue that that would just create chaos and make it worse for everyone. If only the police would stop these guys... If MM doesn't want to police the community, then you can't blame or expect someone to care when they cheat. MM should have fixed this long ago.

Well ihave a quation since i dont folow Latin_player much, is his creations are originals that are copiable or it's someone else creations? Normaly i was thinking that people hate him for coping and pushing to cool pages and he do that just for trolling (so in general to be hated ;p), but im not sure 100%, is that "destroy the city" level is his creation? If he just coping then i guess it not does not much really matter, because you defending somebody who wants to be hated and have attention, if hate to Latin annoys you more effective way to prevent that would telling people to just ignore him.

That...that was brilliant. So many simply berate and berate without any heed to the cause or solution. They insult and say stuff like "Latin_Player_10 is ***", which is about as helpful as a clogged toilet. I think people need to understand that copying, H4H, trolling, etc., is really something out of our control. We can't stop it. You see all these anti H4H, anti copying, save LBP, etc. levels on the cool pages, and they do almost nothing. Only Mm has the power to make big change, and they so far, as you said, haven't done that much for the cool pages. In fact, I think deleting the boo system has made it worse, by eradicating something that labeled bad levels like these. I agree, Mm should have a feature where only one of your levels can be on the cool pages at a time. People have to understand that Latin_Player_10, quite frankly, is horrible. That is not even an opinion, that is a fact. It's not just the copied levels. He actually made a movie (he MADE something, surprise) saying that he, despite his copying, is actually a kind and loving person. Shortly after that, he published a little gift to the community, which was a screamer that showed you a scary face when you pulled a switch. The reviews were full of angry people saying that it made their young friends/siblings cry. It was pretty much this that was the reason why Pimped_Bullet (one of his sub accounts) was banned. There has to be some sort of law and order in the LBP community, and now there is hardly any. As Martin Luther King Jr. said: "It may be true that law cannot change the heart, but it can restrain the heartless." And right now, there are a heck of a lot of heartless people. EDIT: No. He copies almost all the levels he publishes. He hardly makes anything himself.

I wasn't even aware he was still on, since his stuff hasn't been spammed on cool levels for several weeks now. This would be one of those point and laugh moments if he got console/IP banned (Love to hear his explanation to his parents or to someone he's trying to sell it too). He already gotten several of his accounts permabanned. I ran into a very old Yahoo Answer page of him asking about bannings while acting like he didn't do anything wrong, (can't remember the results, but it was pretty much "its your own fault") If he isn't on, then it really is ridiculous, leaving hate mail on an inactive LBP profile

I have one, and only one thing to say, this is ridiculous, LBP isn't a game for hating, it was created for the complete opposite. Why people continue to hate (and I mean a deep, loathing hate, which is just silly) is beyond me.

People don't get hated for no reason, people often call "jealousy" when in fact legit concerns are there, like seeing someone's real side when everyone thinks they nice... but they're really not, just remember that. Like the infamous raven once said, I vaguely remember it as 'someone's going to spam the cool pages, might as well be me.' They're abusing the system, they fully understand it by telling people where they copied the level from and know no ones going to stop them, feeding on new players who don't understand the game all too well, feeding on attention because well without out all the attention they receive, they have nothing. They want the all glories "fame" but can't create levels so they turn to spamming, limiting/blocking the plays of thousands of levels and counting. And guess what? People are venting their frustration. That's the annoying thing, shouldn't we have equal time on the cool pages if we put the effort to it? Why are they allowed to make multiple accounts and link all the levels together to get more plays? Why are the lbp1 levels showing up on the lbp2 pages? The core community has moved on to lbp2, maybe a few have stayed behind BUT SERIOUSLY wouldn't we know about any remaining core players in lbp1? Well I don't. Speaking of attention, the threat of banning, it goes a long way even if it isn't actually real, I remember far back in the lbp2 beta when a rumour was going around you'd get banned for using the god glitch and believe me, people believed it. I'd say if a few spammers were made an example of then we would see the next wannabe copy cat spammers hesitant to spam because they wouldn't want to lose their accounts and more importantly their cod ranks. Spamming needs to be dealt with, people need to shut up then they won't have the attention they crave but that will never happen. Lets see if they use the disabling new comment/review option, If they won't I've already mentioned why above.

Maybe he has been engaged into bad behavior on other games, but banning people for copying levels? Not cool. Here's another possible reason why he got banned. Maybe these "kids" false-reported him to Sony to get him banned. False reporting is very bad. Latin_Player_10 needs to defend himself.

Eh. The hating part of the community is either younger players or morons. If you want them to stop, you should try and spread the word that people need to stop creating word wars against trolls and block them if they want him (And other trolls) to "GET OFF ELL BE P". I know that you're not saying the correct words, but if you tell them that he needs to stop being hated on for moral reasons I don't things will get any better, for them, Latin or you, like Dre said.

PSN is network where it's really hard to get banned + what he is doing.... is normal, everyone is free to republish copyable levels, so i don't see how he can be banned by doing this I think it was one of the EULA that mentions of not using exploits to boost your "rank" (author hearts, plays and whatnot) and he admitted to putting his stuff on cool pages several times, whether in a profile or level description. Even though the EULA also mentions of various things just about everyone does as well such as Copyright, H4H, violence etc.... Most likley because of him doing it for so many months now that they have finally taken action. (This happened with Ravens as well but Iremember she was warned and she decided to stop). I'll have to try to find that Yahoo page

What Latin_Player_10 and all the other people of his kind do are out of our control, therefore the best you can do is contact MM and tell them about it, or you can PM him and tell him to stop. If he doesn't, then just ignore him. All he wants is attention, and if we all ignore him, he might stop.

In LBP1 when people copied and spammed levels barely anybody noticed or cared but a few people, but then it became cool to hate and spam people who "ruin" the community. Kids are easily influenced and will continue this behavior past the point of insanity. Its like laughing at a kids joke, they will keep telling it over and over not knowing it stopped being funny a month ago.

It's true that simply copying levels is not a very fair reason to get banned, but I think the real reason was because he made multiple accounts and started spamming copied levels all over the place. I don't think this posed a fair chance for the rest of the players, so maybe they decided to tone it down a bit by banning some accounts. Notice there's still some more of his accounts, don't you think they'd have found them by now? I think it's just the fact that there was a LOT of spam/copy, and it was overwhelming the game. I think he has the right idea, and that he could really turn a new leaf if he tried, but all he needs is to do it. I've never really hated him, because I noticed that even if people leave hate comments, he never really hates back. Now, of course there are those TRUE rant comments that aren't entirely made to hate, but still. I just don't like the fact that people are all ganging up on this guy saying he's "ruined LBP" by copying and crud, but the hate only deteriorates it. Maybe if some would just leave him alone and let him work it out himself (like not playing all of the copied levels), then the problem would probably resolve itself. I too noticed that he hasn't been copying lately. After all, it isn't entirely his fault that his copied levels get to the CP. I hate to say it, but it is other players' faults IN PART. That and the horrible filter on the CP. I'm not going to dump all this on others though, I don't want to single anyone or thing out. Everyone has their reasons. Anyway, there are a lot of other copy spammers, especially that WWEPascal guy or whatever his name is. A LOAD of those levels are up. In fact, he's the only other one I see way up on the CP. I think people are getting the wrong idea. Latin's apparently inactive, so just ignore it. If you just badger him until he decides to become a spammer again, it'll bite you in the butt. Plus, I think all anyone ever wants after being so wrongly hated for so long is a little peace.
