Ok, I thought this would be a good place to inquire... I want to change my PSN name because I hate mine now, which would require me to make a brand new one since Sony doesn't allow you to change it. However, on my account, I have some 130 odd trophies. Now I have three options: -Suck it up and keep my crappy name and keep the trophies -Create a new account, forget about trophies. -Create a new account and try for the trophies again.... The last would take me longer to accomplish. thoughts?

First off, what was your previous username? And I don't think you should look down on Sony for not allowing the free will to change usernames. At least you don't have to pay for a separate one. >_>

Listen to me - keep the name. Trust me, personal experience... There have been multiple occasions where I suddenly developed a disliking towards a name; but I stuck with it and ended up really liking it. I hope you make the right decision

Depends on how difficult the trophies would be to reaquire on a new account.

TBH, I like getting trophies. You could look at it as a good thing, because you get to replay your games again, and not put them to waste. Getting the trophies are more of an incentive to play them again, and wasn't that one of the purposes of trophies, to increase replay value. I say go for it.
