Which games have you had for a while that you invested tons of time in or still play regularly even now? Which games have had the best replay value for you? MMOs, Minecraft and LBP don't count. | 2012-04-10 17:07:00 Author: Ayneh Posts: 2454 |
Well Min- Which games have you had for a while that you invested tons of time in or still play regularly even now? Which games have had the best replay value for you? MMOs, Minecraft and LBP don't count. Oh......um.........uh.......I'll get back to you on that | 2012-04-10 17:15:00 Author: butter-kicker Posts: 1061 |
Fifa 12 I suppose. I don't invest a lot of time into it but I know people who invest a LOT of time into it. | 2012-04-10 17:27:00 Author: craigmond Posts: 2426 |

skate. Why are you reading this? It's just a filler!!! May sound demented, but the only reason I played that was to hurt other people and throw my skater around the place | 2012-04-10 18:43:00 Author: craigmond Posts: 2426 |

tough question, i could say all the Ratchet & Clank series but it's not that much in the end.. Or well it might be alot but time-wise it's just one day of gaming maybe. Replay value in my opinion should be about 3 days | 2012-04-10 19:20:00 Author: >er. Posts: 785 |
I'm a big fan of Dungeon Defenders... XD just wish there were more people on my friends list with it =p | 2012-04-10 19:29:00 Author: ForgottenEnigma Posts: 1414 |

*Waits for Silver to bust in and say: Team Fortress 2!!!1* EDIT: DAM! Sniped, Patofan said that already. *evil laugh* Fallout games are also pretty absorbent. You should try them. | 2012-04-10 19:50:00 Author: Patofan Posts: 1185 |
May sound demented, but the only reason I played that was to hurt other people and throw my skater around the place What? I thought that was the only reason people bought it for! | 2012-04-10 22:17:00 Author: SnipySev Posts: 2452 |
Uhh... hard question. Team Fortress 2. Just that. I've been playing so much TF2 recently, I love it. I usually find online FPS games (such as CoD and Battlefield) kind of dull, but TF2 is so much more. | 2012-04-10 23:01:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
StarCraft II, the entire Forza Motorsport series, and recently iRacing. Shogun 2 I guess as well. | 2012-04-11 00:19:00 Author: Unknown User |
Other than MineCraft and LBP, I have to say Battlefield, CoD (Sadly. But only because my other friends play it), and the original Pokemon games (Red, Blue, Yellow, etc). | 2012-04-11 00:37:00 Author: Speedynutty68 Posts: 1614 |

Just got Dota 2. So. Dota 2. http://bubbasmith.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/7177.jpg I don't understand why people hate the game. Sure, it isn't very noob friendly, but it is a game that requires time to get used to in order to play at a decent-to-good level. It's tons of fun when you know what you're doing. BTW, holy crap is the game hard! I played a bit of LoL and DotA, and I got my **** slapped in Dota 2 in like the first minute. | 2012-04-11 06:07:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |

We should get our ***** slapped together! Someone who actually wants to play the game with me and not moan that it's too hard? Awesome! We should get our ***** slapped together! The more times I re-read that, the more awkward it sounds. | 2012-04-11 06:20:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |

Just got Dota 2. So. Dota 2. OH GOD DO YOU HAVE A SPARE KEY I applied for the beta when it was announced, I'm still not in :'( | 2012-04-11 12:14:00 Author: Unknown User |
Animal Crossing somehow kept me playing it for a looonng time. I had to catch all those dang fish. | 2012-04-11 12:22:00 Author: PygmyOwl Posts: 1316 |
Skyrim/Fallout. Also sport games tend to have a decent amount of longevity/replayability. I think I played Championship Manager 01/02 for a good few years, before I got a new PC and finally moved onto Football Manager 07/08. I used to play a lot of Pro Evo, but PES 2012 was terrible. | 2012-04-11 12:43:00 Author: Ali_Star Posts: 4085 |
OH GOD DO YOU HAVE A SPARE KEY I applied for the beta when it was announced, I'm still not in :'( Not the whale you're responding to, but I got one. I was hoping to give it to one of my friends since they play LoL a lot; that attempt was quickly dashed away when I found out they hate Dota 2 for being too hard for them, hence why they love LoL (oh how they disappoint me so). | 2012-04-11 17:33:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon if I didn't lose the SD card then I'd still be playing it I think. :3 SD card? Also, pretty much every Pok?mon game I've owned bar Black, and Ratchet and Clank as well. My friend and I used to see who could complete it the most times, we got to about 6 or something. I rarely got games (I still don't now), so pretty much every game had replay value forced upon it. | 2012-04-11 17:45:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |

For me, longevity such as a multiplayer component (ratchet and clank 3, uncharted series) skill points or similar challenges, with some kind of reward involved to those who can get all of them (insomniac museum in ratchet and clank) a free roam aspect (spiderman 2, infamous series) or a creation aspect (lbp, infamous, spore) are all good ways to add replay value to good games. adding most of these to sucky games tends to repel me though. the games I've replayed most have been the old spyros with all the hidden extras, and ratchet and clank 3, which I intend to buy in HD purely for the multiplayer | 2012-04-11 20:58:00 Author: Smudge228 Posts: 533 |
OH GOD DO YOU HAVE A SPARE KEY I applied for the beta when it was announced, I'm still not in :'( Wow, life's a *********. I don't even care much for Dota and even I got a key. Gave it to a friend who's also crazy about DOTA and didn't get one either. I'd play TF2 and Minecraft a lot if my laptop wasn't a piece of crap that turns out, has the worst cooling hardware design in history. Crappy heat sink, weak fan, narrow air passages, underside holes that were initially designed to radiate hot air but ended up covered by the HDD's plastic casing, thermal paste that isn't actual thermal paste but some crappy substitute material... It's a mess. I start playing a game on it and five minutes later, the whole laptop overheats and shuts off without warning | 2012-04-11 20:58:00 Author: SnipySev Posts: 2452 |
I have invested tons of time into Ninja Gaiden games. All of them I have beaten on Master Ninja, probably spent 300 hours on each game. | 2012-04-11 22:54:00 Author: Rpg Maker Posts: 877 |

As far as raw hours that I felt were entertaining I'll go with Fallout: New Vegas. Most people consider Fallout 3 to be the better game, no doubt because NV reuses several of its resources but I find the latter to be superior for a number of reasons, greater replay valuge and longevity to be one of them. Very buggy gameplay engine but there's several different types of character builds to experiment with along with a variety of different ways the storyline plays out. And even without taking those into account there's dozens upon dozens of hours of tangential things to do in the game and that's not even factoring in the amount of extra gameplay the DLCs adds. | 2012-04-12 03:11:00 Author: Dapiek Absaroka Posts: 512 |
TBH, I was considering giving to you... but like.. I forgot. I guess that confirms Valve's attempt to reach the casual demographic instead of the veteran DotA players. Hey, I'm no casual! I'd have used that key for myself if my laptop was worth a ****. I currently have no interest in any kind of game where you click one mouse button a million times per hour, but DOTA could have changed my mind. I dunno, maybe they're handing out keys at random? | 2012-04-12 09:54:00 Author: SnipySev Posts: 2452 |

I currently have no interest in any kind of game where you click one mouse button a million times per hour, but DOTA could have changed my mind. I dunno, maybe they're handing out keys at random? - me and Alex applied for the beta, we're both familiar with RTSs, and we've been interested in Dota 2 since it was announced; we didn't get in - 3-5 of my friends on Steam who don't even know what Dota 2 is or don't care about it got in; they haven't even clocked in 10 hours in the game - one of my IRL friends got in without even trying; he hates RTSs, so he gave the key away Ya na, Valve is aiming for casuals. They know they'll get Dota enthusiasts to play on Day 1 of release, so they're trying to appeal to other demographics first. It's not the first time Valve tries to get other players to join their game while trying to keep veteran players interested. | 2012-04-12 23:16:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |

So did you give your key to Alex so we can all own it up get owned in Dota 2? I installed it and then went to the pub. My body is ready when you are, however. Will probably spend tomorrow figuring things out vs bots, then I'll be ready ^^ lol. The brief moments I've played today were as good as I hoped, however @Cyber: <3 | 2012-04-13 00:39:00 Author: Unknown User |

Hmmm. Any story based level is up for replay value. Otherwise, there's pokemon platinum (most recent one I have), ummm, the god of war series, and surprisingly enough even to me, I picked up warcraft 3 again recently. | 2012-04-13 01:42:00 Author: xxMATEOSxx Posts: 1787 |
Alright sounds good. Let me know when you both are down to play. I hate research papers. ;_; I'll be finished by tomorrow, hopefully, so I guess you guys can have a head start on learning the basics. @Cyber: <3 I'm finding this "lovable" side of you very weird. Did you somehow get so drunk you went sober? | 2012-04-13 01:50:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |

Xenoblade. To FC it, you must spend 250 hours. (Almost 11 days) And that's considered to be a speed run. | 2012-04-13 02:04:00 Author: Undarivik Posts: 442 |

What you mean is, they're aiming for people who aren't DOTA fans, not casuals. A lot of the LoL community got in, and most of them admitted that when the survey asked what other RTSs have they played, they put down they play LoL 25 hours a day. LoL is a very casual game, so I guess the coincidence reflects strongly on my theory. | 2012-04-13 18:17:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
