This area of the level is too complex.

Ugh, I hate that message. My level is now doomed because of that. Is there any way to fix it? Or even better... to cheat it? The problem is that the controllinator is full of wires. Because of that, now half of the textures won't load. | 2012-04-09 20:50:00 Author: Patofan Posts: 1185 |
just close the controlinator... or set it to hide outgoing wires. that should fix your problem. have you tried playing the level or switching to preview mode to see what happens? | 2012-04-09 21:01:00 Author: shane_danger Posts: 283 |

Yeah, it has problems too. I'll try that thing you said EDIT: Worked. Thanks! | 2012-04-09 21:06:00 Author: Patofan Posts: 1185 |
If things are still too complex by the time you finish your level, you can try slicing sections of yuor level up to make it less complex. Then hide the seams of anything sliced that has loads of edges by pulling the seams together as close as you can or hiding it behind a thin layer for detail. Also do not stick everything together this will increase the complexity, mix it up by using the gravity tweaker to make thing stay put instead of sticking them. Try removing a few stray edges and things that will be out of view to the player that are not needed. I have a very high thermo in my level and my last resort was to start destroying sections and parts that the player has past in the level and cannot get back to. By hooking up a player sensor to a destroyer. BUT be very careful that you do not trigger it in create mode then forget and save on top of it as that section will be lost. Once saved you cannot go back unless you have a back up. | 2012-04-11 16:20:00 Author: LittleBigDes Posts: 920 |
