Problem with In-Out Movers

Archive: 3 posts

In the level I'm making, I'm having a problem with the In-Out Movers. There are 3 walls that are in a layer, with size 2x1 and with a block of the exact same size in both of the thin layers above and below. There is a microchip in them like this:

When it gets hit by an object with the orange tag, the wall falls to the back layer and it gives the player 50 points. There are 3 walls like this. When the 3 walls are down at once, the player gets 200 points and a 5 secs timer starts. When the 5 secs timer ends, it activates the AND gate below in the microchip, on all of the 3 walls. If the orange tag is near, it doesn't get up until it gets away, to avoid glitches. The problem is that half of the time, the walls don't get up. They get stuck. They have to go through a hole that is the same size than the wall. But half of the time, when it should get up, the wall stays down. If I try to move it up with the popit, it doesn't work too. It's stuck. Any idea of how to fix this?

EDIT: Welp, just after posting this I noticed that the wires were wrong. Duh. Now it works.

Also placing a Anti-Grav Tweaker on with 100% dampening helps : ) I only realised this a few weeks ago that objects with 100% dampening can still be affected by In/Out Movers, but it just helps to keep it in place so it goes forwards and backwards easier, hope this might help also!2012-04-09 11:02:00
