A few general suggestions for LBP2...

Hi. I have a few ideas for LBP2...

Fix the custom sticker thingy: OK, nothing actually new, but it would be really helpful if they could fix this. I want my custom stickers to work!

Lethalizable water: Water should have the option of being made lethal, with it's own types of danger. These could include: Boiling, Lava, Acid, Mystical Miasma, Electrified, Toxic Sludge, Freezing, and Infested With Leeches.

Gasable Sackbots: It would be good if Sackbots could be lethalized with the Horrible Gas option. This wouldn't turn them into gas, they'd just have a miasma of gas surrounding them. This would be good for zombies, as quite frankly, flaming zombies are odd.

3D creating: Originally, LBP was to have the ability to create in as many layers as you liked. They took this out, but it was still possible with glitches. I think that it should be made a feature, so you don't have to use complex glitches to make 3D levels.

Fire options: It would be great if there was the option for changing the colour of fire, or making it look a bit like the fire in the PSP version of LBP, which looked a bit like lava.

New hazards: I think there should be 2 new types of hazard for LBP: Freezing Cold and Ouch! Freezing Cold would be like fire in that you Sackperson could take a hit from it before dying. On the second hit, they would freeze into a block of ice, and shatter. The lethalized object would appear to be covered in frost and ice spikes, and would have a slight fog. The other hazard, Ouch!, would have no sound or visible effect in Play Mode. It would only be visible in Create Mode, and touching it would have the same effect as a spike. This would allow things like gears or spiky balls that could kill your Sackperson without using Horrible Gas or Plasma.

Air: Air would be a material like Hologram-it is non-collidable. It would have no effect above water, is invisible in Play Mode, and cannot be lethalized. However, below water, it would act as an "air pocket": anything inside it is treated as if it was not in water. This would allow for submarines, undersea bases, and other stuff.

Waterproofing Sackbots: Sackbots should have the option to be able to go underwater without short-circuiting. They should also be able to use the Jetpack.

That's all I can think of right now. Hope you like the ideas!

As for the freezing cold suggestion... that coding exists with Mm... the original demos showed an ice hazard (and videos exist on the internet of it) that turned you into an ice cube and you needed to shake your controller to break free, but they said it was broken and/or not fun. So it was never included in either lbp1 or 2... but it may surface again one day.2012-04-03 15:57:00

Really liking the air idea. That could open a whole new box of possibilities for water, like separate bodies of water, underwater cities, etc. Bioshock premium level kit anyone?

The lethal water is a really good idea too, never thought of that. then you wouldn't have to wire up a sackbot just to do lethal water or have plasma'd hologram, etc.
To add to this: since water puts out anything on fire that hits it, I think there should be an option you can toggle in both the global water (popit) and from wter tweakers where if something electrified touches it, the entire body of water becomes electrified.

They really should include the 3D layers as a legit game feature instead of a glitch, but only for scenery. Basically like it is now, but you wouldn't have to glitch to open them, and you could put all kinds of logic / bolts / etc on things you put back there without things being destroyed. The thermo would probably fill up faster if all the 3D layers were playable, so IMO the actual gameplay layers should stay at 3, maybe 4 at most.

All of these are great ideas, but, while so many of us would like to see them implemented, I doubt that many of them will actually ever be added to the game. However, my pessimistic instincts could fail me, and we could actually see some of these things added, whether it be through an update, or Little Big Planet 3. There are certainly a lot of people suggesting things similar to those listed.2012-04-08 18:30:00
