What games are you playing right now?

Archive: 1309 posts

If General Chat can have a "What music are you listening to right now?" Thread, then the Video Game ones should have the gamer equivalent. I don't necessarily mean what game are you playing while you read the forums, but what games are you actively playing in the present.

You need to list the name and system the game is on.

So then, I'll go first.

Little Big Planet (PS3)
Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3) - yeah, I know a sequel is out.
Puzzle Quest (PSN)
Puzzle Quest (DS) - for when I'm moving about.
PicPic (DS) a puzzle game that most people won't know of

As your tastes change or you pick up different games, feel free to post again.

And I reckon this should get a sticky if it takes off.

Every few days I'm alternating between:

- Call of Duty: World at War
- Dead Space (second playthrough)
- LittleBigPlanet
- Prince of Persia

- And interestingly enough, Dynasty Warriors 6 for absolutely no godforsaken reason. >_>

I have childhood memories with the series...

Was playing Prince of Persia up to a day or two ago. Not bothered getting all the light seeds. Not worth it.

At the minute I'm playing NHL 09 (It's incredible!), GTA IV (which is better than I thought on second play), some Fallout 3 and LBP but not a lot and a bit of Valkyria Chronicles which, even though I love it, is an RPG and I just find it really really difficult to stay playing them for long... it's lke I feel guilty for spending so much time on one game or something... I dunno.

Got Mirror's Edge for Christmas but haven't started it yet.

Well, I've finished Resistance Fall of Man on easy now. I wanted to clear the story mode before getting stuck into the sequel. The start of R2 makes a whole lot more sense now. I really enjoyed it though, a whole lot more than the first time I played it half way through. If I didn't have R2 I would likely go through the whole campaign of R1 again, it was that good.

But I think I'll focus on Guitar Hero World Tour for a while and unlock some more stuff instead of moving on to R2 right away.

So my list would now be:

LBP (PS3)
Guitar Hero: World Tour (PS3)
Puzzle Quest (PSN)
Puzzle Quest (DS)
PicPic (DS)

I'll keep you informed of other changes. So... what else are people playing?

Started Mirror's Edge two days ago and I'm very impressed. The gameplay is excellent, very exciting and heart-racing though slightly frustrating at times. Still when you barely survive a firefight via a perfectly timed series of acrobatics it's quite thrilling. I've never played anything quite like it and I think it deserves recognition in the same line as Portal for doing something innovative in the FPS genre and for pulling it off so well (though I suppose the story, Glados and the ending has a lot to do with Portal's success).

The cut-scenes may not be for everyone being illustrated but I like them, I think the voice acting is great and the dialogue's pretty good.

I love the colour scheme, and despite being all bright colours, the world is still very detailed. When you see walls and stuff up close, you do see the "dimples" of the concrete. And I thought there wouldn't be any wear on the surfaces but there is.

I find the combat a bit unweildy and it can be very hard to aim kicks and punches... and I find the disarms almost impossible without slowing down time.

Still I'm extremely happy with the game, the gameplay is great, graphics are very nice, the sound is excellent, presentation is quite good and the story seems good enough though I haven't finished it yet.

I'll do a full review when I've finished but I'm guessing it'll end up being somewhere between 8 and 9/10.

I've managed to work a bit of Resistance 2 into the mix of my current game playing. I really miss the "rocket launcher in the pocket" pick up every weapon from the first game though. Although it is realistic to only have 2 weapons at a time, that does not by any means make for a fun game. Sure, you have to make strategic choices blah blah blah... but, well, it's still annoying in my opinion.

Still though, slowly working through it. I can't seem to get the terms of use for the online mode to display, and so I can't go online. I'm almost at the point where I'm not constantly firing secondary mode to to swap weapons. Almost.

Castlevania something something on the DS. It's not as good as some of the older ones. It's a little more Simon's quest with all the different areas you can visit since you don't spend any time in Drac's castle, but so far it just isn't interesting me as much.

Left 4 Dead is still freaking me out big style.

Saints Row 2 is still good fun.

That's the idea I had in mind. It's not meant to be an "all time best" thread, but rather what you are playing through in the current time span, good bad or whatever.

People are free to comment on games as well, but I don't think this is really the place for full level reviews or detailed comments, just some quick remarks or initial impressions.

The whole point is to get an inside look at what different people find fun to play, and see people in a different light. You never know, people might list some hidden gem here.

Some might say this is an old thread, but others would say it's a timeless classic.

Anyway, I've changed my game playing cycle a fair bit. I've resurrected my PSP and have gotten a few new games for it to match, as well as trying a few downloadable demos and games for it.

So my current list is:
Little Big Planet / PS3 (of course)
Resistance 2 / PS3- I've finished campaign on easy and am trying normal, am halfway through. Do some co-op on it as well, I just pick any class the group is short of. Don't do much competative though nowadays. Maybe I should try the team stuff, I'm mainly just doing straight deathmatches right now.
Resistance: Fall of Man / PS3 - Sometimes my medium term guest wants a death match, and so that's the game we use.
Guitar Hero: World Tour / PS3 - Still plugging along. I've finished all instruments except vocal on easy. I use to be a professional amateur singer when I was a student, that being touring the state and singing in professional choirs, but not getting paid for it. I was a grade 5 bass singer, but I've gone all rusty. I've hit a ceiling with the drums as well (2/3rds through medium) in terms of muscle control for my right arm. I still guitar and bass though, haven't hit the ceiling for those yet.

PicPic / DS - Yeah, I'm still playing that puzzle game. 190 of each the three puzzle types done, 10 minutes average each puzzle, 210 left to do... 190x3x10= minutes played 210x3x20 (it's getting harder) = time left. You do the math.

And now for the PSP:
Namco Museum Battle Collection / PSP - Specifically, I'm playing the Galaga remix for inspiration for an upcoming LBP level. Yeah, it's very hard doing this research.
Space Invaders Extr3me demo / PSP - Yeah, I know it's a demo. I need to find the full game. It's more "research".
LocoRoco 2 / PSP - That game is just full of happy fun win. Apart from the few frustrating moments that happen in any game, I just can't help but smile constantly while playing this thing.
Killzone Liberation / PSP - I'm trying to get a better handle of the Killzone Universe for Killzone 2. This game goes feel a bit fiddly and slow, but it does look good. Don't know how much I will persist with it though.
Ultimate Board Game Collection / PSP - One of the first downloadable PSP demos I tried. I liked it so much I bought the full game. The individual parts are not always awesome, but the collection as a collective whole is great.

And another old one:
Killzone (original) / PS2. It's more stuff of trying to understand the Killzone universe. I've played through the first level. It's not bad, but it's just... slow and heavy. Hopefully it picks up as the game moves on. I just bought the game yesterday, I never aquired it when it first came out.

So... what have other people been playing recently?

Mostly I've recently been playing Uncharted... Am almost done that, and on Crushing. I'm trying to get platinum on it before Monday.

I'm playing a bit of LBP, but I'm mostly staying out of Create until all those bugs are worked out and such.

Also, Elbee, methinks you should use your modly powers to sticky this thread.

I've started back to college so playing my PSP a lot. Playing a good bit of Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max to get ready for SFIV. Playing the hardest difficult and getting my *** handed to me repeatedly. It's an awesome game though.

Playing some N+ too almost finished the levels in the game, on the third to last set. I just can't get the timing of the last level of this set down.

Also playing Metroid Fusion on the GBA emu, pretty awesome game, was stuck on one part for ages, got a slight bit further and now I'm stuck again. Hopefully I'll figure it out eventually.

Debating whether or not to try to get back into FFVII. I got just past Rocket Town and stopped playing, this was a few months ago. I keep meaning to get back into it but I have a good few games that I find more fun and the enjoyment I get out of them is much more instantaneous.

Mother 3 is ANOTHER one, more fun than FFVII but haven't got back to it either after I left it a few months ago.

**** I have so many games half finished, I'm never gonna finish them all! Or even half of them!

Well, if General can have a music listening thread, General Video Games can have it's own sticky version.

Played Mount & Blade (again) today. Seriously considering buying it (though unfortunately I've missed the 7.50 offer on steam. Very annoying!) I keep replaying until Level 7 in the trial. The combat is so much fun with more skill involved than most battle systems while still being quite accessible. The graphics don't bother me and the sound effects are good enough to keep you pretty immersed in the game. I'm not sure if it's really worth 25 euro though...

Also played a good bit of LocoRoco. I've had it for a while but hadn't really got into it yet... **** that game is happy! First time I saw and heard the little guys singing I just couldn't help but laugh. Very fun.

Getting a little better at Street Fighter Alpha but still getting owned most of the time.

For now, I only play LBP when I'm leaving feedback/reviewing a level, for the forums. ( Which is kind of sad, but I'm not feeling the bugs. Maybe when they're fixed )

But I just rented Motorstorm : PR. And wow that game is fun with a few friends, a couple of Big Rigs and Monster Trucks set to the "Hardcore" difficulty, while you and your buddies are all bikes. Good times good times.

At the moment i'm alternating between:

Heavenly Sword (PS3) and
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (PS)

i just most recently beat (in reverse chronological order):

Prince of Persia (PS3) eh... pretty but the game play and level design is rather dull
Mirror's Edge (PS3) as soon as i get it back from my friend i'll probably play it again. AMAZING
Resistance 2 (PS3) enjoyable but there was something that didn't feel quite right that i couldn't put my finger on

I actually haven't played LBP in a while (nor have i been on here). i think i may go pop that in right now to download the new sticker packs and while i'm at it, will probably play a bit too

I usually play one game and that game only until i after a couple of months or so grow so tired of it that i can't stand it any more, so the only game that i'm playing right now is LBP and i still enjoy every second of it (and the killzone 2 demo).
When Killzone is released i'll probably make an exception though as i want to play killzone so badly and as i wont give up LBP.

1. (I've forgoten her name)
2. Mirror's Edge, trying to get some more trophies from it.
3. Rock Band, occasionally attempting the final few expert songs on guitar. Want to get drums soon though.
4. Haven't been doing much in a while on this though since I got the platinum.

Golly you misunderstood the ending to dead space.
The girl who attacked you at the end was nicole, your girlfriend. earlier the evil lady (whose name I also forget...) said your girl friend hadn't spoken to you, and you had been talking to nothing. This means issac getting attacked by his girl friend was the last stage of the dementia from the disease or, his girl friend had really been infected and was now out to get him. Ah... that make much more sense now! lol I kept trying to figure out how the evil woman who's name I forgot managed to somehow come back from 1,000,000 splattered pieces and hide in the spaceship while Isaac defeated the monster thingy.

Let's see...

LBP (PS3) - I'm in a bit of creators block once again. I've got to knuckle down and get back into creating. O_o

Guitar Hero: World Tour (PS3) - Still rocking away. Mainly just bass and guitar playing at the moment. I can't sing while I've got a house mate (no, my voice isn't bad, it's just he does not understand the game) and I'm reluctant to drum as it tends to make my injuries worse. I still play the string stuff though.

Resistance 2 (PS3) - Interest is wanning in this one. I still go back and try it every now and then though, it's still a lot of fun.

Noby Noby Boy (PSN) - It's incredibly cool in a difficult to describe way. I just love quirky stuff like this.

Soldner-X:Himmelssturmer (PSN) - An R-type like shooter in the traditional sense. They just released a beginner's difficulty level so it's even easier to scale up the diffuculty.

Flower (PSN) - I've been positively underwhelmed with this. I loved "Flow", but this is just a game I'm not hugely enjoying. I hate the story, the controls are annoying, and graphics can only carry you so far. I'll likely play it through to the end then stop.

PicPic (DS) - Yes, I'm still playing this. I think I've played through approximately 750/1400 puzzles now. It's just that good. 750 puzzles x 10 minutes average puzzle length... hmmm... yeah, it's that good...

Lock's Quest (DS) - I tried this to try and get my strategic fix, as I only gave it a brief try before passing it on. I don't like the controls though, I think I'll try...

Advanced Wars: Dark Conflict (DS) - They cut out the "cute" factor which was weighing the series down, with everything looking cuddly and the personality of the bad guys being generally morons. It still plays like the strategic monster the series has always been though.

LocoRoco2 (PSP) - I think I'm 17 hours in now. I've nearly finished it. There is still so much to explore and discover though, I still likely play it well after I've finished the main story.

Namco Museum Battle Collection - Galaga Remix (PSP) - This game is dropping off the radar. I've finished it on Hard mode, there is not much else to do with it.

Ultimate Board Game Collection (PSP) - I still try some of the games every now and then when I need a quick basic board game fix.

Getting a lot better at Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max. I'm playing on the hardest setting (9 stars I think) and I can get as far as Bison (with lots of continues though). Have beaten Bison in one round but not two just yet. He has a really cheap super move and if you don't block it it takes most of your health. Even with blocking it takes about a quarter but he can only use it when the super bar is completely full.

Anyway also started playing Final Fantasy 9 on my PSP (really fun start but I'll probably lose interest as always). Playing some Crisis Core and FF7 as well and I'm enjoying them. I think I'm finally coming around to RPGs but I wish more of them had a recap function if you leave it for a while and then come back to it (like Rogue Galaxy). I was completely lost in Crisis Core and it's hard to care about some of what is happened when I only vaguely remember what happened previously.

Played some Metroid Fusion the other day, keep getting a bit further though I've been getting stuck quite often not really knowing where to go or how to get to a room. Kinda frustrating as the way through is often kinda random and not very intuitive.

Played some Patapon yesterday for the first time in ages. It's kinda fun but not amazing. Losing fever is very annoying and sometimes it feels like I was on the beat but I still lose it. I guess I'll start liking it again when I get past this level that's been giving me trouble.

Oh and I got a bit further in Castlevania: The Symphony of the Night in Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles (it's an unlockable in the game).

****... I've been playing a lot of games the last while... you'd think I didn't have mid-terms next week... .

BlackShark Ka-50, Crysis and Left4Dead.. all PC games. I own the PS3 mainly for bluray movies. LBP is about the only game that gets put in it and even then I dont play it, just mess around with creations. Perhaps one day the consoles will be suitable for simulations and FPS. I do use the PS3 for Dirt and Grid using the Logitech wheel from time to time. Consoles just need to learn what AntiAliasing is 2009-02-27 13:26:00

Played loads of Castlevania Aria of Sorrow yesterday. Amazing game! I can't believe I've found this series so late, they're all awesome!

DX Chronicles was my first and I finished it 100% (anyone who's done it knows that it takes quite a while). Currently playing both Aria of Sorrow and SOTN.

Not sure if I prefer the Stages in DXC or the Castle in AoS and SotN. Also since the weapon choices in DXC are limited and the gameplay takes advantage of this, the bosses and enemies are more challenging and beating them feels more rewarding. Still I'll wait until I finish AoS or SotN before judging.

Killzone 2 :kz: and LittleBigPlanet ... But mostly killzone 22009-03-02 05:43:00

Author:

Well, my PSP has died with a cracked screen. I might look at repairing it, but for the moemnt I am PSP free.

Let's see...

LBP - PS3. Yeap. Still playing this. Spent several hours working through judging for the Survive this! contest. I've still got to finish the LBPC creators project thing, and then work on my own stuff.

Killzone 2 - PS3. It's not the best game I've played by any means, but it does look nice and sometimes the big battles are fun. The aiming system feels way out of whack though, it's either too slow or too fast. I might have to chance the calibration. I'm stuck on the first boss battle right now.

Guitar Hero: World Tour - PS3. I've finished Guitar on Medium. Still working on it in general, still reluctant to drum due to health issues. My house guest should be moving out next week, so I might be able to get back into singing again.

Street Fighter IV - PS3. I've only beaten arcade mode on "very easy" and have not done too well online. I'd like to put more time into it, but there are not enough hours in the day.

PicPic - DS. I've just past the 750 puzzle mark. Still working on it.

Advanced Wars: Dark conflict - DS. This is my main strategy fix right now. It's much better than Dual Strike, the previous version. They took out a lot of the gimmickiness and tightened up the AI a little. It can still be a moron, but it's less so than before. It does more blocking than previously, but it still does not always priorities base capture.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chonicles: The Ring of Fate - DS. My RPG levels were getting low. I never finished this one and only got a few hours into it. I've started again from the beginning and once again I am stunned by it's graphics, gameplay mechanics, story and overall fun. It's just an incredible game. The sequels are coming out at the end of the month too. I expect they will be even more awesome!

Space Invaders Extr3me - DS. With the PSP dead and it being near impossible to find a copy of this game for that format, I got this one instead. I think from what I saw of the PSP that the PSP was the better version. Having split screen shots for certain points is just gimmicky and unnecessarily hard. Still, it's decent for what it does.

Personally, I have ADD and need to rotate so I don't burn out.

I've gotten into a crazy DOS binge lately and play too many to list, as well as LittleBigPlanet and Warhawk.

I really want to play Final Fantasy 7 again.

Started Folklore again, playing it for the first time since my PS3 broke ages ago and I lost my saves. I forgot just how good it is and how beautiful it looks and sounds. Excellent game!

Also played one more mission of Valkyria Chronicles.

EDIT: Bioshock came today. It's pretty great! Better than I was expecting and I don't like shooters at all. It doesn't really feel like a shooter as there's so much exploration involved it's not linear and there's a lot of side-tracking there if you want (which I do). Love the art style, the music, the audiotapes and love the fact that the splicers have a lot of personaltiy to them instead of just cookie-cutter enemies. It actually feels a little like Oblivion to me and I'm playing it much the same way, crouching and sneaking behind my enemies. Also there are a few scary moments and every fight is exciting. As I said I don't like shooters but I'm very impressed with this game. I'm terrified of my first Big Daddy fight though...

EDIT 2: AND played a few more chapters of Dead Space... I love holidays!

I just finished Mirror's Edge. It's a very ambitious title and while it certainly has it's flaws (the combat), it also manages to succeed in creating a very tense race across the rooftops. If you haven't tried it, I recommend it.2009-03-17 16:22:00

Played Oblivion for the first time in ages. No matter how much I play it, whenever I pick it up, something new happens that surprises me and rekindles my love for the game (see Oblivion thread).

Also played a little GTA4... I started a new game when trophies came out and I'm now just a little further than I was in my first save. I find that as long as you ignore your friends, the game can be quite enjoyable.

Got my A license in Burnout Paradise and 10 wins into getting my Burnout License... just 30 to go . I love restarts!!! And I'm starting to unlock some of the better cars now.

Wow... ok I've started to completely change my mind about GTAIV. I think maybe it took me a long time to get into it. But I've started to realise that it is a great game.

I've finally got used to the driving. I'd still prefer if it wasn't so realistic as just clipping a car can send you spinning. And you have to be so much more careful in races, slowing down a lot to take corners. But as I said I've gotten used to it and it doesn't annoy me as much anymore.

The story is fantastic. I was a bit meh about it at the start but a few things happened that completely changed my mind.

First was when Elizabeta shot Manny. I hated that guy so much and her shooting him was so unexpected. It was class! And then Michelle turning out to be an undercover agent. Again very unexpected.

The gunplay is pretty good though I find the game quite difficult. It can take me multiple tries to finish a difficult mission but it's challenging enough so that you feel the accomplishment when you finish a mission. If you run in guns blazing you're invariably going to get shot to hell and if you make one mistake or don't see one guy you really pay the price. Still as I said, the feeling of accomplishment is much greater because of the challenge being quite high.

So yeah, I'm finally really enjoying it.

Mostly playing LBP (believe it or not!), Resistance2 & Skate 2. But I've just invested in another 2 games which are proving to be pretty cool, and they are; Tomb Raider & Metal Gear Solid 4. The graphics on both are awesome. Tomb Raider is as frustrating as I remember on the PS2, but still addictive! And trying to play MGS4 after playing Resistance 2 & Tomb Raider... it's very difficult to refrain myself from rampaging through the levels like a femme fatale version of Rambo 2009-03-20 00:54:00

Loads of Oblivion. I'm completely addicted again. It's weird there are items in the game that can be completely game changing. I hated losing magic on my enchanted items and since I'm pretty high level now, I really need the effects to kill some of the more difficult monsters and enemies. So finding Azura's Star has really breathed new life into the game for me. Also I efficiently upgraded Armorer above level 50 so now I can fix enchanted items which is the other thing that was really annoying me.

I love this game. There is no other game that stays fresh and interesting for as long. While I've been thinking for a while whether or not I prefer MGS3, I'm pretty sure that this is my favourite game of all time.

I do kind of .

Playing even more Oblivion. Currently Level 19. Attributes are 84, 90, 65, 100, 100, 80, 50, 65 (Levelled almost perfectly except for one 4 in Strength). I swear I should be reported to the ISPCA for the amount of abuse I've given Shadowmere when levelling up blunt and hand-to-hand . Getting through the main quest and just picked up my Mage's Staff. 8 seconds Paralyze really does come in handy . Doesn't stop the Oblivion Gates being **** tedious though. I mean doing 3 towers the first time was a little tedious. Repeating all that over and over is just ridiculous. Loot is pretty good though I must say and I do loads of side missions between doing each gate. But it doesn't help when there are two gates beside a town, you pick the wrong one and have to close the other one too before continuing. And the tiny paralyzing spiders are **** annoying!

Anyway mini rant over. Played Aquaria for the first time today too. Really truly beautiful game, wish it was on PSP. Considering buying it but I find the complete freedom and lack of direction a little annoying. I have the Witcher on the way as well so not really the time to be buying another game.

darn im like level 74 in Oblivion! XD

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Wow... that's pretty high. I think I play this game really slowly and carefully. And levelling efficiently takes quite a while. And this is my fourth character. Still I dunno if I'll ever get to level 74.

Oh yeah and I was just thinking today. There could be a new Elder Scrolls out next year... I already can't wait! This must be my favourite game of all time for me to be this excited about a game that hasn't even been announced yet.

I started a game of Morrowind today. My problems with the game are threefold. One, the menus are quite unintuitive to navigate and select items. It's far too difficult to take stuff from containers and put them in your inventory. Two, the combat sucks... a lot. And three, the running pace is way too slow.

However, it is an excellent game. Oblivion kind of made things quicker and easier to use but sacrificed a lot of depth probably due to the huge effort put into the graphics. Also I've noticed that a lot of the books that made me love Oblivion so much are actually originally from Morrowind which makes me hold Oblivion in slightly lower regard.

Also Morrowind feels much more like a cohesive world and yet is is far more varied than Oblivion is. No fast travel, while a pain, keeps you immersed in the world (you pay to use silt striders instead or use the mages guild transport system). And there are loads of interesting spells like levitate that couldn't have worked in Oblivion. Also the fact that Alchemy doesn't always work is great.

If anyone here likes Oblivion, I highly recommend it. Takes a while to get used to (you're given way less instruction than you're given in Oblivion and there's no compass system so it's much harder to find your way, you actually have to read and follow directions) and to get over the combat but if you do become immersed it will probably last much much longer than Oblivion.

Valkyria Chronicles (PS3) would be my main game at the moment. Graphics, music, voice acting, an incredible amount of strategic depth and character development. It's an amazing game and I'm enjoying every minute of it. If you have any vague appreciation of strategy games I urge you to go out and get this game now.

Bioshock (PS3). I bought this game cheaply as I already owned it (and finished it in 2 days) on the 360. I've gone and bought it for the PS3 for 3 reasons, one is that it's a great game and I hardly touch the 360 now, another is that it's got some good trophy support, and finally I want to experiment with new game play ideas on harder difficulties. I must say though that Big Daddy's on "Hard" difficulty are walking tanks. They don't change the gameplay mechanics, they just give them a billion health so it takes a whole lot of work to actually take one down. I fear it would be near impossible to kill one on super hard without a vita chamber.

Uncharted (PS3) - I've slacked off playing this game due to the grenade sound effects. The general ringing in my ears finally stopped after 3 days of not playing that game, but I'm enjoy Valkyria too much to pick it back up again. :S

Guitar Hero: World Tour (PS3) - My medium term house mate finally moved out so I am able to explore the Vocals of that game a lot more. I'm starting to ceiling on "hard" in guitar but still have a lot of room to grow in Bass and Vocals.

PicPic (DS) - Yes, I'm still playing that. 275 x 3 = 825 puzzles down now. It's still just as good as when I started it.

NobyNoby Boy (PSN) - I'll still explore this weird game every now and then.

Street Fighter IV (PS3) - It's still bloody hard but fun for short periods of time.

I'm playing Warhawk until I get my blu-ray lens cleaner disk (I'm sure that's the problem with my PS3).

On my PC it's Dawn of War 2; trying so hard to like it but it's just such a poorly made game in my opinion. It's far too micro-managey; every unit has like 5 abilities and the voice over is constantly telling you that this is under attack, an ally has this. DOW1 just kept the nice side menus which were so much better than an annoying Grot in your ear.

LBP has consumed my life of gaming for almost 6 months now. It just never gets old... I've had Bioshock (PS3) since Christmas, and I've managed to get about 5-6 hours into it, it's really awesome, but I always seem to pop in LBP.2009-04-03 11:40:00

Finally played through RE5. For the most part I thought it was pretty good. The graphics are amazing and most of the boss fights were extremely creative and fun. My only major criticisms are the controls (clunky and outdated) and the sloppy design during the final phase of the last boss. Other than that, I had a great time with it.

Oh, and besides RE5, I've been playing a whole lot of Peggle on Xbox Live. It's so very addictive.

Regarding Oblivion, the **** Oblivion gates get so **** boring, but I really want to finish the main quest.

Thinking of getting back into Fallout again.

EDIT: Played some Pixeljunk Eden. Completed the 4th level with all spectra. Addictive game! Also played the SEGA Genesis demo but I have them all on my PSP so no point really... although buying it would quieten the qualms of my conscience a little...

More Pixeljunk Eden... very very addictive, finished up to Garden 5 with all Spectra and all seeds opened in each garden. Have 3 Spectras in Garden 6. Hopefully be finished by the time Encore comes out. Also can't wait to see what their next game is!

Played some Fallout 3 for the first time in ages.

Minor Fallout 3 quest spoilers:Tried to get access to a certain Vault, I have to free some slaves before I'm allowed in, so I go to where they are and the guy there says I have to ENslave 3 others before he'll let me in, so I go to the first town to get the first slave and first I have to free the slave and some others from supermutants... talk about a quest branching out! I got annoyed and turned it off, far too much running involved! Still there are some very satisfying moments to be had in the game, especially if you play stealthily with a sniper rifle. Pity they break so easily .

Also played some Half-Life 2 and Portal. Also played one level in LBP and got too frustrated by a sliding platforms bit and turned it off... I don't think I'll ever really get into the game to be honest...

Started NFS: Undercover again, wouldn't copy data from my old PS3.

CoD:WaW, because that is what almost everyone on my friends list plays and I get spammed by them untill I play it.

Rock Band, only occasionally now as it gets repetative after a while. I used to find GG&HT difficult but now I don't fail on anything. (wants Rock Band 2)

Not playing LBP since a massive level I was making was lost in LBP's save glitch- not playing again untill Cornish Yarg.

Played some more GTAIV today and had to chase some guys in a car and NOT kill one of them... I'm guessing I have to flip their car, shoot out their tyres or kill the driver but they do that elastic band driving thing and I can't get ahead of them and usually end up blowing up their car... idiots don't get out when it's on fire. I guess I'll do it eventually.

Played some Bionic Commando Rearmed for the first time in ages. I've finished it on normal and I forgot how hard it is when starting off without any extra armour, weapons or items... those steel boots are **** useful! Playing hard mode and haven't got past the first level yet!

Pixeljunk Eden... reached Garden 7 and I'm scared! Haven't tried it yet but I'm guessing it's horrible... in a good way! Have all Spectra and all seeds opened in garden 1-6 and my overall score is about 7000th in the world .

They're still pretty cool, albeit a different feel... more of the typical classic totally indoors FPS rather than the open world of Guerrilla. It's still **** cool to blow apart the interiors, both natural and artificial, with the geomod. Really impressive use of the PS2's hardware. Not to mention there's MP with it! You don't have as much destructive freedom as in guerrilla, but there are still plenty of structures you can demolish and it has its moments. Also cool when the enemies launch rockets at you and cause the environment to collapse around you.

Played a good bit of Morrowind today... it's actually quite similar to Oblivion... except less hand holding and less visceral combat. And some of the game mechanics are a little less streamlined.

However I'm really coming around to it... it's a fantastic game. I've played one real mission and the dwarven cave I've infiltrated is challenging, long, quite original and has lots of great loot! Hoping the rest of the game lives up to the same high standard. Hard to tell if I'll be able to get back out alive though...

Also played some Karoshi, Jumper Redux, An Untitled Story, And Yet it Moves Demo, FLaiL and Toribash (which I didn't get at all...).
