As thin as butter on toast

I'm not what you would call an avid creator, but I know that some of you are. This forum is going to get very busy in the coming months, with LBPKaring and LBPVita releasing and I wondered if it would have a negative effect or a positive effect on this forums (or any other as far as that goes) I wonder if the LBP2 section will get neglected because people will be either playing on or creating with the other two new titles. And i also wondered which of the two new sections will get the most traffic. I believe that LBPVita might because it's LBP2.5 if you will, but I also realise that more people will have PS3 so that suggests that, perhaps, LBPKarting will get the most attention. So ... is this site going to get fat off the new arrivals or are we going to be spread as thin as butter on toast? | 2012-03-30 18:38:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
I think this section will be mostly busy but vita and LBP karting will be for some time the busiest sections. But then people will come back here | 2012-03-30 19:56:00 Author: Seveni_7 Posts: 109 |
I think this section will be mostly busy but vita and LBP karting will be for some time the busiest sections. But then people will come back here surely that would depend on how good those other games are. the Vita section will be an interesting one to follow. there will probably be less people with a Vita... but if it is the definitive version, we could see more traffic. Carting is a little more niche, but if LBPKarting has a lot of diversity, because more people have PS3s than Vitas, THAT could be the section that shines. without doubt it will impact the LBP2 community ... but for how long? the answer to this surely lies in the amount of members. there are always plenty of onlookers who for one reason or another haven't joined us, so perhaps it may fatten our community, especially if the growth of content is presented in a very user friendly way | 2012-03-30 20:54:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
So there going to have a spot for it on the forums? Duess that mean there will be contest's for it to? If so then it will ether fatten the community or,Thin it like butter on toast lol. | 2012-03-30 23:16:00 Author: Lbphart3 Posts: 813 |
Hmm... I agree with Seveni_7. I think that when the two are released, there would be a lot of activity on there respective threads for some time, then we would shift our attention back to LBP2. Karting simply seems like ModNation Racers, and I doubt that the respective threads will last long it they conform to my expectations. Vita may last quite some time, but then general focus will be back on LBP2. Vita has a lot of new tools, but more people will have PS3's and LBP2, and it will eventually come out on top. | 2012-03-31 03:08:00 Author: Kalawishis Posts: 928 |
As far as I can see this section has always been busiest and that probably won't change. LBPVita will be popular, but not everyone has a PSVita so It cant be as popular as this section was and is when LBP2 came out. As for LBPKarting, we'll just have to wait and see | 2012-03-31 04:07:00 Author: DominationMags Posts: 1840 |
I put quite a lot of butter on my toast... As for the forums dying down, it's going to happen. Nothing hugely exciting has been happening recently after all. We're still pretty active (I've visited forums where the last post was a couple of years ago), so I'd say the community is still going strong. As for LBPVita, I imagine we might get a spike in popularity, we did with LBP2. We'll have to wait and see. | 2012-03-31 21:59:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |
Can you imagine how imprecise and hard to work it is when you have such a small screen? Why would anyone want to create in LBP on a handheld? It's tricky enough on a console. I don't think anything will change. Look at the PSP section, and the PSP is far more popular than the Vita will ever be. | 2012-04-01 16:56:00 Author: Ayneh Posts: 2454 |
This site is far more active than some other forums I've been to (LittleBIGPlanet Forums), but it isn't the most active site I've seen. It'll die down, but it might be a while before this site can be officially labelled "dead". | 2012-04-01 17:00:00 Author: Cobaltor Posts: 222 |
dead? i was just talking about the user base being thinned because of the other two games, not that this forum could die lol it's really fascinating sometimes to see how things evolve in threads... like Chinese whispers | 2012-04-01 17:24:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |

Meh. I'll still be in this forum till the bitter end of my LBP2 days. (Or until the bitter end of my LBP3 days. ) Can you imagine how imprecise and hard to work it is when you have such a small screen? Why would anyone want to create in LBP on a handheld? It's tricky enough on a console. I don't think anything will change. Look at the PSP section, and the PSP is far more popular than the Vita will ever be. I feel the same way with a lot of games other than LBP. *coughmonsterhuntercough* *coughPSO2cough* Curse you Capcom and Sega... D: | 2012-04-07 14:56:00 Author: Tmjtk Posts: 258 |

I think more attention will go to the karting game as people don't need to buy a new console to get it. But that goes without saying. But I think there will be a devoted force consistently creating for LBP2 since it is the main title not a spinoff. | 2012-04-07 21:05:00 Author: Jrange378 Posts: 573 |
