Hello, everyone in Central!

My name is eustoma. I think I am a kind of project manager of LiBitsmateJAPAN.
We are from Japan and this project is our attempt to close the relationship between Japanese LiBits (it's Japanese official name of the character you call "Sackboy") and Sack people around the world.

We are very happy to have already got some nice welcome comment on our project from various people, thank you so much. This project would never have been started without LBPCentral.
I wasn't aware how people warmly look toward Japan until I had an opportunity to participate LBPC6 and saw many grateful comments about our participation in the result thread.

Japan has no gorgeous LBP fansite or legitimate forums like yours, though there are great number of skilled creators and enthusiastic players.
Maybe that is the reason why fantastic levels are often got underplayed in Japan.
We want to shed lights on these Japanese levels.
Our wish is to make LBP more fun for more people.
Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!

I think this is a great project! It's wonderful to have some really good Japanese levels showcased like this and I look forward to playing the hub. I have only played a couple of these levels before and it's great to see some new names on there that I'd never have come across without this.

Very best of luck with the project!

Always thought that it is a bit of a shame that the Japanese part of the community is quite isolated from the rest of the community.
Good work, eustoma and all involved. Keep it up.

Sackbot is "ロビッツ" in Japan, probably spelled "Robits" in the alphabet

Sure, it's "リビッツ" !

For more trivia, The Collector in LBP1 was named "Sack Putin" (サックプーチン in Japanese version.

Hm...I've been mentioned...well...I haven't done anything actually, I only talked and bugged all the people I know.

Eustoma was great translating the rules of LBPC6 just out of Community love and to help her friends.
She has a lot of enthusiasm, "gallons" of enthusiasm.
And...lots of awesome Japanese creators are in her team. LOTS.
Even if they prefer to stay anonymous

And I couldn't have done anything without the help of the awesome people in the Community:
Spaff and StevenI for trying always to offer the best to the Community
Aya and ConfusedCartman and the mods for listening to my ideas.
All the peeps in the Contest and Spotlight Crew for being supportive and trying to give all the help they could.

Thanks, and thanks to the Japanese Community, always there, always passionate, humble and respectful.
I hope our Communities will learn the best from each other and will make LBP grow both as a game and as a Community.
Because creativity, art and friendship should break down all the barriers.

So, welcome LiBits friends
May this new friendship bring awesome fruits and joy!

So does this mean we're going to have like... a fortnightly Japanese spotlight, and possibly an influx of English-speaking Japanese to this site? Or is it just the spotlight and we're not expecting more people to join here, based on this development?2012-03-31 11:42:00

We hope for the best case scenario.
But eustoma should give the answers

We are going to make level hubs monthly
I don't know if we can stimulate Japanese people to join LBPC,
but at least I want to encourage people who are hesitating.

just want to say i played those levels last night and i was blown away by the professionalism and uniqueness of the presentation and gameplay. some i'd already played and are in my 'Genius' section in the tutorials, but others were a total (not entirely unexpected) delight. keep up the good work!!! and could you perhaps provide some links to Japanese sites similar to LBPcentral, i'd love to pop in now and then even if i'd probably not understand what was being said i'm sure many others here would too

I have to say, I'm so happy we can finally bring the Japanese community and its clearly fantastic Creative talent to the forefront. There's such a vibrant mixture of influences in the overall LittleBigPlanet community, highlighting the growing Japanese portion is a fantastic way to offer even more diversity (in both content and community) to Players and Creators here at LBPCentral. You rock!

To answer a question I read earlier on in the thread: LiBitsmateJAPAN plans to produce one spotlight a month, meaning LBPCentral will be highlighting the Japanese community on a monthly basis. The existing Community Spotlight will continue to run on a twice-monthly basis.

this seems very interesting. all it boils down to is more to play which is always good but even then now we have more people to share the fun with.

I am a Japanese creator and have been a member of English speaking LBP forums since 2009. My home is Little Big Network.
I like the idea Japanese creators can finally be seen! it is hard to be noticed.
I also run a youtube channel and will be happy to feature a LiBitsmateJAPAN section with level playthroughs!

I've always had a thing for Japanese levels, you guys know how to make them good without needing to understand the text. Reminds me of one of my favourite LBP1 creators, RRR300000 (http://lbp.me/u/RRR30000) :3

Good luck with your project, I'll try and help by playing the levels as much as I can

Please do get some Japanese people to come to LBPC... there's hardly any of them around here.

There are some LBP related blogs like this (http://streamrn6.blog8.fc2.com/) and this (http://lbplover.blogspot.jp/).
The forums are only anonymous ones, as far as I know.
You can find some topics(threads) here (http://2ch.net/) with a search term "lbp".

Well this is a nice surprise.
I need to get these queued up, I always have enjoyed Japanese player's stuff.
I always look for them, even though I know absolutely no Japanese, they just never fail to surprise me.

Also Sackboy is called LiBits there? I would have never known.

I am relegated to only doing projects on my off days (tue-wed) for now, but i could always help by putting some playthroughs (spelling?) of some of these levels up, if any of you LiBits would like. I'd just go ahead and do it, but i don't wanna just record anyone's level and then have them complain (not likely but has happened. and YouTube doesn't like me as it is.)2012-04-01 12:30:00

Hey Eustoma! I see KARAS_X mentioned a few times in those levels you posted. Is that creator still active? One of my favorite levels was from KARAS_X but it seems that he/she deleted all their levels and disappeared. It was called the Bitterheart Castle and I miss playing it 2012-04-04 13:56:00

I think this is a wonderful idea! I've always played a ton of JPN levels alongside english levels with JPN friends and take my non-japanese friends to play as well. So many brilliant JPN levels that do deserve more notice. This is very much needed. Thank you for this! ^^

Ironically some of those levels were already in my queu before I just discovered this thread.

I once considered posting a thread here at LBPC to highlight and bring attention to great JPN levels, though I never got around to it after going from an active LBPC member to an occassional familiar visitor, w. I'm very glad someone finally has. ^o^/

日本 ばんざい!

I arrive a bit late , I've been more than 1 month inactive.

I've queued some of the levels you posted here. I also found very interesting levels from Japan long time ago: here they are:

TETRIS テトリス [JPN] (http://lbp.me/v/zb1k6e)

Super GATIBATO Bros. Melee ガチバトブラザーズ (http://lbp.me/v/82v7xd)

They have heavy logic, so they may take time to be downloaded to the ps3's RAM before you can start playing them, but, if you have to wait, it's worthy anyway, they are good levels.

i truly think that is a fantastic idea. there are ALOT of slept on Japanese creators that most of the community dont even know about. im telling you ive seen some insane stuff created by the Japanese community and i advise the rest of you gadders to broaden your search horizon and check out some jap levels today. starting with all the above selections. ps. omegaslayer keep up the hard work despite all the tediousness.2012-04-07 20:11:00

Logic does not take much space, levels get fat when you cheat termo with emitting ;] specially when you cheat with voices

Yep but without english VA screaming this to fit lips motion it would not be a meme ;]
