yeah, you guys said more than I can, but my advice is to always have a reference photo with you, and to remember that not every detail can be put into lbp from a real thing, just use your creative authority to add your own spin of a car model to keep it unique!2012-03-31 01:05:00

Yeah... that's not really a tutorial, but it's great anyways. The only thing I build with that many details was a PSP, and I thought about making it work but I gave up after seeing gameexpo.2012-03-31 04:11:00

Yeah.. I know it wasn't really a tutorial, because that video was about two hours long.. (I was trying to show that you shouldn't always go with your first assumption, and creating TAKES TIME)2012-04-01 05:06:00

Watching the video it seems like a good preliminary step before adding more detail.

Some things though don't make sense, though. Car doors aren't generally made from multiple panels as one example. You seem to be confusing areas of light and shadow for entirely separate pieces of bodywork.

There's also problems inherent with tracing from photos, since perspective is applied to them they'll never accurately show the form of the car across a 2D plane. Schematics and technical drawings you find online tend to be massively inaccurate as well so you have to use a lot of guesswork to render an object accurately within the confines of LBP's layer system. Materials with different bevels and sub-layers can help with that a little.
