Hello everyone, I thought I'd share my ongoing saga about cute, fluffy bunnies and their troubles with the evil mechanical bunny forces and the mastermind behind them! (Note all pics are low-res, taken with the ingame snapshot tool. That also means certain effects are omitted from the shot.)

Note: You do not have to play prior levels in the series to unlock the later ones.

I tried this level because nobody replied to the thread and it was sinking into Hades. I'll tell you what, I'm so glad I played. When the level started I was thinking oh here we go for another MGS attempt type level, but you made it so incredible I thought at times I was playing DLC.

It's hard to find fault but my only minor gripe is that because the checkpoints are always centered in the screen, it makes it almost unavoidable to get spawn shot.

Top notch. I'll try your other levels.

Thanks for the reply! Although, all of the checkpoints should be behind cover, with the exception of the first boss fight :S Hmmmm. Looks like you posted before I edited! I'll gladly try your level as well.2009-01-03 17:34:00

I just played the Mecha Bunny Mayhem level. I left you a comment on LBP.

Pros

Excellent characters, the bunnys were awesome
Really colourful
Very well designed and made, it all looked great
Excellent platforming sections
The weapon part at the end was a good way to finish
Had me smiling throughout

Cons

I could'nt really see any to be honest

----------

I loved this level and hearted you both. I'm gonna get round the playing the rest maybe tomorrow. Great work

All of these levels were a real joy to play. There are so many clever visual touches, like the bunnies that jump free from the creates. And the ninja bunny at the end of the first one (where he's poking the mecha-bunny with a pencil) really made me laugh out loud.

They're all so much fun and so lighthearted. I'll be coming back with friends to do some multiplayer runs, and might have more feedback for you at that point.

Other random points...

The "opening curtains" were fantastic. I literally had to reload the level a few times just to watch it.

I couldn't tell which one was first in the series easily. It would be nice to fix up the descriptions so it is easier to pick the right order. Also ... I think this works, but you could put a key for the 2nd one in the 1st level. But you don't have to the lock the 2nd one. That would link them on the LBP globe, to give people a nice visual on what is next in the series.

The race timers for Act I and II seem awfully long to me. It would be more exciting with a shorter timer.

Whoa, you mean you can do that without locking the levels? I had no idea, must try now thanks a TON for the idea! I'll try to poke into the race timer issue, I'll agree it's a bit forgiving. I think I'll have to start working on an act 5 soon!

Part 1

Pros

- Opening movie bit was nice

- The whole level looked good

- Vehicle bit worked well and was fun

Cons/Suggestions

- Most of the enemies are avoidable as they only affect one layer.

- I had to type this twice because of my dumb computer.

Part 2

Pros

- Looks nice

- Sound effects were good

- Movie bit was still cool

Cons/Suggestions

- At the part where you save the first group of bunnies, you can pass that section without saving them.

- Boss was kind of frustrating because it was hard to jump on the paws.

- Would've been nice to see some new enemies

- Most of the enemies are avoidable as they only affect one layer.

Part 3

Pros

- Nice to see new enemies

- Looks nice still

- Race was alot of fun

Cons/Suggestions

- Dragons were too hard to kill. Hitting one brain automatically meant the next dragon would kill you, basically, so there isn't much hope. I couldn't pass this part.

Part 4

Pros

- Looked nice

- Paintinator was integrated well

- First boss was very well made and fun to fight.

- New enemies are good.

Cons/Suggestions

- The airship battle was too tough. You need to give an indication of when it's going to shoot, or lighten up the shots.

5 stars and hearted all of them.

That's unfortunate, that's barely halfway through the level! Alright, I think I will revise somewhat the timing on that boss (Majority of my republishes were related to them) Until then if anyone cannot beat the twin serpents here is a top secret developer strategy:
The best way to get the serpents' brains is to jump on them as soon as they rise from the water. BIGGER Hint:The serpent on the left ALWAYs pops up first, so as soon as the walls come down camp the left side. Jump up with him as he rises and you can get all 3 brains in one go, then go far right and do the same to the second. You can kill them in 5 seconds.

Anyway, thanks for the excellent feedback BassDeluxe! I am pondering Act 5 at the moment and will make short revisions on my other levels, I was considering revising the weapons part in act 1 as well, since the enemies' parts can get in your way. Though Act 5 would take priority over making a "gold +1" release of an old level.

Okay. I played the first three acts.

1) A short level, but the adorable bunnies and their dialogue makes up for it. The sequence on the vehicle and controlling the spotlight weapon with the switch is ingenious. What a smart idea.

2) I had memories of The Bunker on the ascent down via the sponge, but that's where the similarities ended. This level has two areas-- one is inside the base, and the second is on a cityscape. I liked both areas. They had great lighting and effects, and the coup de grace was the multi-weak point mechanical bunny boss battle. I really enjoyed that.

3) I really enjoyed this one. The level's beautiful, I love the creatures the best in this one, and jumping on the cute walruses gave me a smile. Additionally, I loved the ending and how the goal moved up on the player and the boss arrived My only problem is that the boss is too hard. It's easy to die, and I lost all of my lives after meeting the boss without dying yet.

I rated all of your levels so far either 4 or 5 stars.

Okey dokey. I'm just glad to know that I don't just suck at the game or something. :hero:

You can just call me Phil. I just use "SuperPhillip" since I'm fond that character I created. hehe

Besides, my friends call me Phil, and you can be a friend if you'd like.

Oh, and if you'd like, would you try all four of my levels? You don't have to, of course.

Hey, don't I know you from somewhere? Anyhow, this series has been one of my favorites for a while. Foofles has great, animated characters and a good sense of humor. Out of all of them I would have to say that Tundra Trouble is my favorite. The level of detail is just awesome. His latest installment, Cosmic Conundrum (great name) is also very good. A few things that I haven't gotten a chance to relay to Foofles about his latest level: The mech bunnies can be run under and shot safely from behind, I'm not sure if you meant for that to happen. A few things in the level seemed like they were kind of rehashed ideas from the MGS pack levels but it was cool that you at least built your own devices as opposed to using stock items (at least I didn't notice any stock items). Also at times the backgrounds seemed a little bland just using the natural color of the building materials. A few stickers can liven the place up real nice. Please don't take offense to these statements, as I just wanted to give some honest-to-goodness constructive criticism. Other than those few, small gripes, the level is fantastic. The mid boss is pure win and the final boss, also, is a cool multi-staged battle. I suggest that everyone play all these levels from start to finish. Some of the best episodic content available.2009-01-05 20:19:00

Hey Dimo, good to see you here and thanks for the feedback!

Oh no, I'm glad to hear suggestions and constructive criticism! I always take it into consideration for the next installments.

I did draw some inspiration from the MGS pack but I put my own spin on it and I have never used stock objects. In fact, since I don't and most other people I see never use stock or community objects, I'll be completely omitting prize bubbles from now on in my levels. (Except maybe the odd sticker here or there.) Thoughts?

To be honest, your prizes are some of the few that I actually keep and stickers take up too much profile space. Maybe just have a few in hidden locations like optional sidequests so that the people who want them can get them and those that don't have the option of skipping it.

Wow! These were great levels! And here is my review (which, by the way, applies to all your "Bunny" levels):

The good things about your levels:
- The levels were colorful and fun to look at, and nothing was ever out of theme. It was cool to see so many things happening in the foreground and the background; it made your level more alive and dynamic.
- Excellent creature and boss designs. The wolverines, the bears, the robot bunnies, the hovering laser thinggies... just great!
- The puzzles, obstacles, and platforming sections were challenging, but never too frustratingly difficult. And there was never a lull to the action; your levels are fast-paced and exciting.
- Cute story and world that fits well with the universe created by Media Molecule. Your levels were so well-made and polished they played like something created by a "Creator Curator".
- Great use of the Metal Gear items such as the paintinator and lasers!

I don't really have any major complaints about your levels. But here are a few minor things:
- I'm sure there will be gamers out there who might find some of the bosses a little difficult. For this reason, maybe you can change the checkpoints to infinite ones?
- The boss in Cosmic Conundrum is tough, but it's made even tougher because the area is very dark. There were times when I couldn't tell where my character was... maybe you can add one or two more lights on the platform?

Well, that's about it for my review. I all the levels in your Epic Bunny series 5 stars, hearted them all, and you as the creator. Can't wait for your next creations!

Great games!

Pros:
Ecco the previous post, but I'd like to add that the laser-on-the-cart-aiming-contraption where you zap evil bunnies was one of my highlight moments in LittleBigPlanet. Absolutely loved this part.

Cons:
I agree that, by the nature of these particular games, some of the bosses seemed incredibly hard (the bunny leaning back and forth was really brutal). In some levels this would make complete sense, but in this particular level this difficulty seemed a little out of place here.

But, great great fun! I think there should be a lot more levels in LBP about bunnies!

Still not up to what I had planned since I ran out of space horizontally. Any critique welcome, eg. on the little boss-type encounter... does it take too long? Is it too easy? Should it not even be there?
