The Official Ninja Warrior Level (w/ Pics)

Archive: 11 posts

Hey, I'm new here. I normally use GameFAQs, but I've decided to check out LBPCentral. This is my first level, and I personally really enjoy playing it. Please play it and give me your opinions, and I'll return the favor.

Here are some pics of it:

Well as for ideas, I'd say choose an IP to base your first level on so you will have some sort of guidance. Invision a goal or goals for your level, for example my goals for this level were polish and intuitive obstacles. Maybe you want great visuals or creative dialogue.

As for the time I spent making this level, I started working on it around the time LBP was released, and I've spent various amounts of time here and there working on it. If I had to come up with an estimate, I'd say 15 to 30 hours.

Hmm, what makes it "official?" :O

Playing in a few minutes.

Edit: Probably one of the better Ninja Warrior levels I've played. You should sticker the race things, they look out of place.

Nothing makes it official. I just wanted a prestigious name. I tried putting stickers on the race start and finish, but it didn't look very good. I'll try again and see if I can get a good look.

EDIT: BUMP

Calling it official is a bit much. I'd take out the Official and think of something else, as that may get it taken down (if Ninja Warrior is on the white list, I think they'd still take offense to the idea that some random person is touting a level based on it as "official")

But I'll see about giving this a try when I get home.

I've actually been feeling the same way lately. If I change it, it will be "Prestigious" instead of "Official."2009-02-25 13:40:00

I just played this and here are my thoughts:

I wasn't a big fan, to put it nicely. I felt like some of the obstacles didn't translate to LBP well. Some of them you changed to make more suited for LBP, like the first obstacle, but things like the wall-thing (I forget what it's called, haven't watched this show in forever) were just frustrating, and you didn't actually need to run and use momentum to make it, you just need to jump. One thing that I noticed that other Ninja Warrior levels had was a real flow to them that made me feel like a ninja. This level didn't do that for me. If you were to go back and redo this level, I would totally redesign the jump hang, too. I didn't like this one. It would have been cooler if you would have used springs. Also, I think it would be cool if you made it so, if you die once, you go to the scoreboard. Make it like actual Ninja Warrior, ya know?
I gave it three stars. I don't mean to sound harsh or anything, I just didn't like it. Sorry.

If you get the time, could you try out my level, WaffleWorld Prologue?
