Sticker Panel Question.

Is this the only way you can emit stickers? I don't have or want a Move, but I think I want the Sticker Panel, assuming it does what I think it does. Would I be able to emit a black spot onto the back layer when something explodes with it? And is there another way to do that without it? | 2012-03-22 00:15:00 Author: Unknown User |
You could try it with physical materials. I don't know how that would work... But there has to be a way. And for the Move Kit, you don't need the move. Just a friend with the move. And there's a bunch of people on LBPC that would be willing to take you through the levels. Besides, Sticker Panel is from the tutorials (that don't require move at all) and not the levels. Hope that helped! | 2012-03-22 00:20:00 Author: Speedynutty68 Posts: 1614 |
To emit a black spot, you can use Outline/Silhoutte (Don't know how to spell), tweaked to 0% Brightness. Just put a Anti-Gravity tweaker on it to keep it in place. Depending on it's backround it will look exactly like sticker panel. Hopefully that will save you $10.00 .. I do recommend getting the move pack though, it's really helpful. | 2012-03-22 01:54:00 Author: Wolffy123 Posts: 406 |

But what if the hole needs to actually be IN the wall? Not in front of it? The only other thing I can think of is doing the same thing but putting it in the Theck layer. Is that what you meant? | 2012-03-22 04:40:00 Author: Speedynutty68 Posts: 1614 |
Why not just embed a real bomb in the object, or emit one when it's destroyed? When it comes to leaving black marks behind you can't beat real explosives. | 2012-03-22 10:57:00 Author: Dr C Posts: 122 |
Because those have a bad habit of breaking things, and permanently putting black stuff everywhere. And I'm guessing that if there are thousands of those down in a level at one time it would cause some slowdown. | 2012-03-22 17:03:00 Author: Unknown User |
I would use sticker panel for sure. You can place stickers on holo as well, but you will never be able to create something black with it (holo is a light source, anything black will just obscure the holo). It also doesn't matter a lot that the sticker panel is slightly above the surface; most of the time you will not see that slight elevation - it only can become obvious when using a black sticker panel shape. If you sticker a sticker on a sticker panel surface it is as flat as it can be, even though it is floating slightly above the other surfaces. If you don't have the Move pack, get it. The sticker panel material alone has changed everything about how I create stuff. Before I never thought I needed it. | 2012-03-22 18:26:00 Author: Antikris Posts: 1340 |
